The Offaly County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Offaly GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Offaly. Separate county boards are also responsible for the Offaly county teams.
Michael Joseph Galwey won an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship with the Kerry Gaelic football team in 1986, as a 19-year-old, before turning to rugby union. Valley Rovers GAA Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Innishannon in County Cork, Ireland. The club was formed in 1919 when two teams in the parish, Innishannon and Knockavilla, came together. The club fields teams in hurling, camogie, Gaelic football and Ladies' football. It participates in the Carrigdhoun division of Cork GAA.

At that time some of the Blackrock hurlers played football with different city teams and it was decided to enter a football team from Blackrock, thus keeping the players together. A formal meeting was held and St Michael's Gaelic Football Club was established.

The Nire—Fourmilewater GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Ballymacarbry, County Waterford in Ireland. The Nire and Fourmilewater are two separate clubs, with separate committees pulling from the same pool of players. The Nire is the Gaelic football club in the area and Fourmilewater the hurling club. Both teams play in the Mill Field, Ballymacarbry. The Nire is a half parish with Touraneena, while Fourmilewater is a half parish with Newcastle, County Tipperary. The Nire play in yellow and blue, while Fourmilewater play in blue and white. The related Ballymacarby Ladies' Gaelic football club has won 10 All-Ireland Ladies' Club Football Championship titles.

Kevin Doherty is an Irish association football coach and former professional player who is currently the manager of League of Ireland Premier Division club Drogheda United. He was the manager of Shelbourne from December 2014 until June 2016. As a player Doherty was a powerful centre back, who was named FAI School's International Player of the Year in 1998. He was transferred from Home Farm Everton to Liverpool FC in the same year and played for the Premier League club's youth and reserve teams, as well as for the Republic of Ireland under-18 team. A broken femur suffered at the end of his first season with Liverpool was the first of several injuries which beset Doherty throughout his playing career.
Gerard F. Davey is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played for club side Clanna Gael and at inter-county level with the Dublin senior football team.
