Michelle de Jong (born 1999) is a Dutch long track speed skater who specializes in the sprint distances.

Career

In February 2019, de Jong became junior world champion in the 1000 m event at the 2019 World Junior Championships in Baselga di Piné, Italy. She won the bronze medal in the 500 m event.

In 2019 she turned professional and became a member of Team Reggeborch.

She is the younger sister of speed skater Antoinette de Jong. [1]

The 2021 KNSB Dutch Allround Championships in speed skating were held in Heerenveen at the Thialf ice skating rink from 21 to 22 November 2021. The tournament was part of the 2020–2021 speed skating season. Patrick Roest and Antoinette de Jong won the allround titles. The allround championships were held a week before the Dutch Sprint Championships.

The women's 1000 meter at the 2023 KNSB Dutch Single Distance Championships in Heerenveen took place at Thialf ice skating rink on Sunday 5 February 2023. There were 20 participants. Jutta Leerdam, Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong, and Michelle de Jong qualified for the 2023 ISU World Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen.
