Micoud is a village of around 2,700 inhabitants on the south-east coast of Saint Lucia in the Micoud District. It was named after Baron de Micoud, who was the French governor of Saint Lucia in the 18th century. More recently it has been known as the home town and constituency seat of Sir John Compton, who was the premier of Saint Lucia from 1967 to 1979, then prime minister in 1979, 1982 to 1996, and 2006 to 2007. Singing in her native patois language, at a time when authorities barred its use, Sesenne developed a wide following in the rural area in which she grew up. General elections were held in Saint Lucia on 26 July 2021, having been constitutionally required by 12 October 2021. Voters elected all 17 members of the House of Assembly. The result was a victory for the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party, which won 13 of the 17 seats in the House, while the ruling United Workers Party lost nine of its eleven seats, its worst result since 1997. It was the fourth consecutive election in which the incumbent government was defeated.

Ti Rocher is a settlement in the Castries District on the island of Saint Lucia. The village is located near the center of the island, near Four Roads Junction, Dubrassay, and Trois Pitons. It is nestled between the peaks of Mount du Chazeau and Gros Morne which separate the basin of Castries from the Valley of the Cul de Sac River.

Jeremiah Norbert is a Saint Lucian politician, Deputy Speaker of The Lower House and former Police Officer. Norbert won his seat in the 2021 general election. The Micoud North seat was deemed a United Workers Party stronghold but Norbert is now the representative for Micoud North in the House of Assembly elected for the Saint Lucia Labour Party.
