Sidmouth is a town on the English Channel in Devon, South West England, 14 miles (23 km) southeast of Exeter. With a population of 12,569 in 2011, it is a tourist resort and a gateway to the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. A large part of the town has been designated a conservation area.

Salcombe Regis is a coastal village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Sidmouth, in the East Devon district, in the county of Devon, England. Mentioned in the Domesday Book as "a manor called Selcoma" held by Osbern FitzOsbern, bishop of Exeter, the manor house stood on the site now occupied by Thorn Farm. The thorn tree growing in an enclosure at the road junction above the farm marked the cultivation boundary between manor and common ground. In 1951 the parish had a population of 869. On 1 April 1974 the parish was abolished and merged with Sidmouth.

Edge,, is an ancient and historic house in the parish of Branscombe, Devon, England and is today known as Edge Barton Manor. The surviving house is grade II* listed and sits on the steep, south-facing side of a wooded valley, or combe. The building was not in origin a manor house, but was one of the first stone-built houses in "Branescombe", on a villein holding called La Regge. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited houses in England, and is constructed from the local Beer stone.
The Devon Intermediate Cup is an annual rugby union knock-out club competition organized by the Devon Rugby Football Union. It was first introduced during the 2009-10 season with Okehampton being the inaugural winners. The competition was briefly discontinued at the end of the 2015-16 season due to a perceived lack of interest from clubs with the 2014 final being cancelled and the 2016 winners, Kingsbridge, only playing one game due to teams being unable/or unwilling to fulfil fixtures. It was reinstated once more for the 2017-18 season.
