Mike Peter Delany (born 15 June 1982) is a retired New Zealand rugby union player who last played for the Crusaders in Super Rugby and Bay of Plenty in the Mitre 10 Cup.
Delany plays at fly-half but can also cover fullback. Prior to playing for the Chiefs, he played for the Highlanders in Super Rugby. [1] Delany was chosen as one of 4 new caps to the New Zealand team for their End of Year of tour of 2009, playing one test match on the tour. [2] He made his test debut against Italy where the All Blacks won by 20-6. [3] He also played a game for the All Blacks against the Barbarians. [4] In 2011 he signed for the Panasonic Wild Knights. In 2012, due to injuries to both starting and back up five-eighths Colin Slade and Lima Sopoaga for the Highlanders, Delany signed with his former team to fill the position until they returned. Whilst still under contract with the Panasonic Wild Knights, he played on loan at Clermont Auvergne, but signed a two-year deal with the French club in April 2013. On 19 February 2015, Delany travelled to England to join Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership on a three-year deal. [5] In 2017, Delany returned to New Zealand to play for Bay of Plenty. Following a great performance during the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup, he signed with the Crusaders for the 2018 Super Rugby season. [6] He made 5 appearances for the Crusaders en route to the club winning their ninth title. This was Delany's first title at the professional level. He retired at the conclusion of the 2018 Mitre 10 Cup.
Tasesa James Lavea is a New Zealand rugby union coach and former professional rugby league and rugby union footballer. He is of Samoan and Māori descent and heritage, and he coaches the 1st XV for Saint Kentigern College.
Andrew Keith Hore is a former New Zealand rugby union player. He played for the All Blacks between 2002 and 2013. His position was hooker. He notably played for the Hurricanes in Super Rugby, but also represented the Highlanders and the Crusaders. When available, he played for Taranaki in the ITM Cup, now known as the Mitre 10 Cup. Hore retired from international rugby after playing Ireland during the 2013 All Black Northern Hemisphere tour, with a total of 83 test caps to his name. In 2008 Hore received the Kelvin Tremain Trophy for Rugby player of the year. In 2011, Andrew Hore captained the All Blacks against Canada.
Carl Joseph Hayman is a retired New Zealand rugby union footballer who played at tighthead prop. Hayman has previously played for the Highlanders in Super Rugby, Otago in the NPC, and Newcastle Falcons in the English Premiership, as well as making 45 appearances for New Zealand at international level. Hayman announced his retirement from professional rugby in January 2015, aged 35. Post retirement Hayman has been diagnosed with early-onset dementia and probable chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
Tavake Lecanus Liukanasi Manu is a retired New Zealand rugby union player. He played in the number 8 and occasionally flanker position for Mitre 10 Cup side, Otago. Manu also represented Tonga at international level.
