The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans. The Saints compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) South Division. Since 1975, the team plays its home games at Caesars Superdome after using Tulane Stadium during its first eight seasons. Founded by John W. Mecom Jr., David Dixon, and the city of New Orleans on November 1, 1966, the Saints joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1967.

In 2006, Young was voted to the Honour Roll of the CFL's top 50 players of the league's modern era by Canadian sports network TSN.
Alex M. Molden is an American former professional football player who was a defensive back in the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the first round with the 11th overall pick in the 1996 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints. He played between 1996 and 2004 for the New Orleans Saints, the San Diego Chargers and the Detroit Lions.
Derland Paul Moore was an American professional football nose tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints and the New York Jets. An All-American, he played college football for the Oklahoma Sooners and was selected in the second round of the 1973 NFL draft. At the time he was drafted, Moore was the highest selected college walk-on in the history of the NFL draft, a distinction overtaken by fellow Oklahoma Sooner Baker Mayfield, the overall number one draft pick in 2018. Moore went on to set a team record for service with 169 games played in 13 seasons with the New Orleans Saints, playing for five permanent head coaches and three interim coaches in that time.
Dennis "Dirt" Winston is a former professional American football linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints. He played college football at the University of Arkansas. He substituted for the injured Jack Ham in Super Bowl XIV as the starting left outside linebacker. On October 17, 2013, Winston was named interim head coach for the Grambling State Tigers football team.
Willie Charles Hall is a former American football linebacker. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for the New Orleans Saints (1972–1973) and the Oakland Raiders (1975–1978). Hall was a 2nd round selection out of the University of Southern California in the 1972 NFL draft. Acquired by Oakland in 1975, he was a starting linebacker on the 1976 Super Bowl XI champion Raiders.

Delles Ray Howell is a former American football defensive back. He played for the New Orleans Saints (1970–1972) and the New York Jets (1973–1975) in the National Football League (NFL). At 6'3", weighing in at 200 pounds, he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 4th round in the 1970 NFL draft out of Grambling State University. He was traded along with Richard Neal from the Saints to the Jets for a pair of 1973 picks in the second and third rounds on January 29, 1973.

He played college football at the Independence Community College for two seasons with the Pirates. During Warner's two seasons with the Pirates, he earned Second-team NJCAA All-America honors and was also a First-team All-Jayhawk Conference selection at defensive end. He finished his collegiate career at University of Kansas and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1998 NFL draft.

He played college football at Mississippi Valley State.
