The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) West, which they rejoined in 2002 as part of a conference realignment. The club entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1976 in the NFC. From 1977 to 2001, Seattle was assigned to the American Football Conference (AFC) West. They have played their home games at Lumen Field in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood since 2002, having previously played home games in the Kingdome (1976–1999) and Husky Stadium. The 2017 season was the Seattle Seahawks' 42nd in the National Football League (NFL) and their eighth under head coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks tried to improve their 10–5–1 record from 2016. However, it did not happen because of injuries to key defensive players and poor offensive performances. After the Atlanta Falcons' Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers, they were eliminated from playoff contention for the first time since 2011. They also failed to achieve a 10-win season for the first time since that same season. This was Russell Wilson's first season not making the playoffs.
Ethan Pocic is an American football center for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU. Pocic has also played the guard position. He was drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
Michael Jamont'e Tyson is an American football safety who is a free agent. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round, 187th overall of the 2017 NFL Draft. He played college football at Cincinnati.
