Mike Major is an American football coach.

Major was the defensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky from 1997 through 2000 under head coach Hal Mumme. During Major's tenure the Wildcats played in the 1999 Outback Bowl and the 1999 Music City Bowl. Major resigned from Kentucky with one week remaining in the 2000 season; his defensive squads had allowed the most points in the Southeastern Conference in each of his last two seasons at Kentucky. The split was painful, as Major had been noted for his close personal and professional relationship with head coach Mumme. Mumme and Major first coached together in 1977 at Foy H. Moody High School in Corpus Christi, Texas, as receivers and secondary coaches, respectively; [2] Major would go on to work with Mumme in coaching positions at a total of six high schools and colleges. [3] Major served as Mumme's defensive coordinator at two different schools before working for Mumme in that role for five seasons at Valdosta State University (1992–1996). [3]

Following his departure from Kentucky, Major accepted a position as assistant coach at United High School in Laredo, Texas, in July 2001. [4] [5]

Robert Anthony Stoops is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Arlington Renegades of the United Football League (UFL). He was the head football coach at the University of Oklahoma from 1999 through the 2016 season, and on an interim basis during the 2021 Alamo Bowl. He led the Oklahoma Sooners to a record of 191–48 over his career. His 2000 Oklahoma Sooners football team won the 2001 Orange Bowl, which served as the BCS National Championship Game, and earned a consensus national championship. Since 2020, Stoops has been a head coach with the XFL, coaching the Renegades in 2020 and has been re-signed for 2023. Stoops' Renegades won the XFL Championship in 2023.

Romeo Crennel is a former American football coach, who was the senior advisor for football performance for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). A former long-time coaching assistant to Bill Parcells, Crennel served as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2005 to 2008 and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012, as well an assistant coach for six NFL teams and four collegiate teams. He has over 50 years of coaching experience, which has included consistently being employed as a coach for all but two seasons since 1970, only taking the 2009 and 2013 seasons off following both of his tenures as a permanent head coach. He has five Super Bowl wins as assistant coach, two with the New York Giants and three with the New England Patriots.

Michael Charles Leach was an American college football coach who primarily coached at the NCAA Division I FBS level. He was the head coach at Texas Tech University from 2000 to 2009, where he became the winningest coach in school history. After Texas Tech, he coached at Washington State University from 2012 to 2019, where he recorded the third-most wins of any coach in school history. Hal Clay Mumme is a former American football coach and former player. He most recently served as an offensive advisor for the Dallas Renegades of the XFL. Previously, Mumme served as the head football coach at Iowa Wesleyan College, Valdosta State University, the University of Kentucky, Southeastern Louisiana University, New Mexico State University, McMurry University, and Belhaven University. Mumme is known for being one of the founders of the air raid offense.
