Mike Mason (born June 2, 1948) is a Canadian former athlete who competed in the long jump.
A native of Toronto, Mason attended North Toronto Collegiate Institute and took up an athletics scholarship to Simon Fraser University, where he holds the long jump record. He trained with Scarborough Central Lions. [1]
Mason was the Canadian national long jump champion in 1970 and 1971. [2] He won a bronze medal in long jump at the 1971 Pan American Games, finishing behind Americans Arnie Robinson and Bouncy Moore. [3]
Michael Anthony Powell is an American former track and field athlete, the holder of the long jump world record, and a two-time world champion as well as two-time Olympic silver medalist in the event. His world record of 8.95 m was set on August 30, 1991.

During his 16-year career, he won 19 national championships. In 1984, Stones became the first athlete to both compete and serve as an announcer at the same Olympics. Since then, he has been a color analyst for all three major networks in the United States and continues to cover track and field on television. He served as an analyst for NBC Sports coverage of Track and Field at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is a member of the US Track Hall of Fame, the California Sports Hall of Fame, the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, and the Orange County Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Drouin was originally awarded the bronze at the 2012 Olympics which was retroactively changed to silver when the original gold medallist Ivan Ukhov was stripped of his medal for doping violations. He was belatedly presented with the upgraded silver in a presentation during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, one of 10 Olympians who were presented with “reallocated” medals from previous Olympics.

Carol Lynne Martin is a former track-and-field athlete in discus, shot put and javelin. She represented Canada at the Commonwealth Games in 1966, 1970 and 1974, on each occasion winning the bronze medal for women's discus throw. She also represented Canada at the Pan-American Games, earning the silver medal for discus in 1967 and the bronze in 1971. Martin competed in discus at the Pacific Conference Games, winning silver in 1969 and gold in 1973. Martin competed on Canada's national track and field team for 10 years and held the Canadian women's title in discus for seven years.
