Mike Turk is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, a position he has held since 2004. [1] From 2003 to 2019, he was also the athletic director at Huntingdon. [2] As a college football player, he was a quarterback for two NCAA Division II Football Championship-winning teams at Troy State University—now known as Troy University—in Troy, Alabama, in 1984 and 1987. [3]

Paul William "Bear" Bryant was an American college football player and coach. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest college football coaches of all time, and best known as the head coach of the University of Alabama football team. During his 25-year tenure as Alabama's head coach, he amassed six national championships and thirteen conference championships. Upon his retirement in 1982, he held the record for the most wins (323) as a head coach in collegiate football history. The Paul W. Bryant Museum, Paul W. Bryant Hall, Paul W. Bryant Drive, and Bryant–Denny Stadium are all named in his honor at the University of Alabama. Troy University is a public university in Troy, Alabama. It was founded in 1887 as Troy State Normal School within the Alabama State University System, and is now the flagship university of the Troy University System. Dwight Eugene Stephenson is an American former professional football player who was a center for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) from 1980 to 1987. He played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Stephenson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998.

Ositadimma "Osi" Umenyiora is a British-Nigerian former American football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Troy Trojans and was selected by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Umenyiora was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and holds the Giants franchise record for most sacks in one game. He is one of five British-born players to have won a Super Bowl, joining Marvin Allen, Scott McCready, former Giants teammate Lawrence Tynes and Jay Ajayi. He also played for the Atlanta Falcons.

Frank William Thomas was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Chattanooga from 1925 to 1928 and at the University of Alabama from 1931 to 1946, compiling a career college football record of 141–33–9. During his tenure at Alabama, Thomas amassed a record of 115–24–7 and won four Southeastern Conference titles while his teams allowed an average of just 6.3 points per game. Thomas's 1934 Alabama team completed a 10–0 season with a victory over Stanford in the Rose Bowl and was named national champion by a number of selectors.

The Troy Trojans football program represents Troy University at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level, where it has competed since 2001. The football program joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2004. The current head football coach is Jon Sumrall. Troy has won 22 conference championships, with seven in the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans play home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama.

Mal Mathad Moore was an American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the athletic director at the University of Alabama from 1999 to 2013. On November 23, 1999, he was hired as athletic director after spending almost thirty years in other areas with the university. As a player, coach, and director of athletics, Moore was part of ten national championship football teams. In May 2012, he was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. Moore died March 30, 2013, in Durham, North Carolina.

Albert B. Elmore was an American college football coach and player, college basketball coach, and college athletics administrator. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Elmore led the Troy State Teachers College from 1931 to 1936, compiling a 31–20–2 record. He also coached basketball at the Virginia Military Institute for one season in the late 1930s.

Travis Pearson is a former American football player who played seven seasons in the Arena Football League (AFL) with the Tampa Bay Storm, Miami Hooters, Florida Bobcats and Los Angeles Avengers. He played college football at Alabama State University. He was named to the Arena Football League 15th Anniversary Team in 2001.

Penton played college football at Auburn University as a guard and fullback from 1907 to 1909. He was the brother of fellow football player and coach, John Penton.

He served as the head football coach at Troy State University—now known as Troy University—from 1972 to 1973, compiling a record of 11–7–2. He was also the athletic director at Troy State from 1972 to 1974. Jones was hired at Troy State after coaching the freshman football team at Auburn University for six seasons.

Ross V. "Flivver" Ford was an American college football player and coach and educator. He served as the head football coach at Troy University–then known as Troy State College–in 1924, compiling a record of 2–1–4. Ford played football at Auburn University from 1921 to 1923.

The Huntingdon Hawks football team represents Huntingdon College in the sport of American football. The team plays at Charles Lee Field at Samford Stadium in Montgomery, Alabama. The Huntingdon Hawks compete in Division III of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). They compete in the USA South Athletic Conference and have won three conference championships in 2015, 2016, and 2017. The Hawks are currently coached by Mike Turk, who has served as the team's head football coach since 2004.

Cody Michael Pearcy is an American football coach and former player. He currently serves at the strength and conditioning coordinator and wide receivers coach for the Birmingham-Southern Panthers, an NCAA Division III program located in Birmingham, Alabama. He has served in that capacity since 2017. Prior to working as Birmingham-Southern's strength and conditioning coordinator, he was on the staff as the wide receivers coach since 2016. He previously was a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Huntingdon College, in Montgomery, Alabama, from 2014 to 2015. Before coaching college football he played wide receiver at the college level for the Huntingdon Hawks (2008-2011) also of the NCAA Division III. After graduating from Huntingdon College during the spring of 2012 he went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. Shortly after he signed with the Atlanta Falcons. He was cut by the Falcons in August 2012 before the start of the 2012 NFL season. After he failed to sign with another National Football League team he signed and played for the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League for the 2013 season. He was cut following the season. He then signed with the Columbus Lions who were at the time a part of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) in November 2013. He played for the Lions for the 2014 season. He was cut by the Lions in July 2014, ending his professional playing career and returning to Huntingdon College that same month as a graduate assistant.

Derrick Ansley is an American football coach and former player who is the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the defensive coordinator at Tennessee. He played safety at Troy from 2001-2004 before starting his coaching career at Huntingdon, a Division-III school in 2005.
