In December 2024, he was given his first experience of senior football when he joined Northern Premier League Division One West side Wythenshawe on a short-term loan deal, only featuring once in the local derby defeat to Wythenshawe Town on Boxing Day. [6] Lane featured regularly for the under-18's side during his scholarship and on 22 March 2025, he was handed his professional debut by first team manager, Pete Wild, coming on as a second-half substitute in the EFL League Two match against Tranmere Rovers, which finished as a 0–0 draw at Highbury Stadium. [2] [7]
