Cranberry Lake is a lake on the east branch of the Oswegatchie River in the Adirondack Park in New York in the United States. It is the third largest lake in the Adirondack Park. About 75 percent of the shoreline is owned by State of New York; the 118,000-acre (480 km2) Five Ponds Wilderness Area abuts its south shore, and the Cranberry Lake Wild Forest covers much of its remaining shoreline.
Delta Reservoir, also known as Delta Lake, is a reservoir located in Oneida County, New York, United States. It was formed by the impoundment of the Mohawk River. Most of the lake is within the southwest part of the Town of Western, north of Rome. The western part of the lake is in the Town of Lee.
Indian Lake is a 12-mile (19 km) long, 4,255-acre (1,722 ha) lake with a southwest to northeast orientation in the towns of Indian Lake and Lake Pleasant in Hamilton County, in the Adirondack Park of New York State, in the United States. The hamlet of Indian Lake is located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the north end of Indian Lake. New York State Route 30 runs along the west shore of the lake. Most of the shore is part of the Forest Preserve. Indian Lake is fed by the Jessup River, and drains through the Indian River into Lake Abanakee, and from there through the Indian River to the Hudson River.
Sacandaga Lake (sa-kuhn-DAH-ga) is a lake in the Town of Lake Pleasant in Hamilton County, New York approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) west of Speculator. The outlet is a channel that leads to Lake Pleasant, which is the source of the Sacandaga River.
Lake Moraine is a mesotrophic lake located 2.5 miles (4.0 km) northeast of Hamilton, New York. The lake is 261 acres (1.06 km2), consisting of two basins which are separated by a causeway and interconnected by a culvert. The northern basin is 79 acres (0.32 km2) and is relatively shallow with a maximum depth of 12 feet (3.7 m) and average depth of 3.7 feet (1.1 m). The larger southern basin is 172 acres (0.70 km2) and has a maximum depth of 45 feet (14 m) and an average depth of 17.7 feet (5.4 m). Payne Brook is the lake's outflow that flows into the Chenango River.
Stillwater Reservoir is a man-made lake located by Beaver River, New York within the Western Adirondacks. The lake has a large amount of recreational uses including camping, canoeing, boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. The lake has undeveloped edges with remote camping on both the islands and the shoreline. Camping permits and lake information may be obtained from the hamlet of Stillwater at the Forest Ranger Headquarters. Fish species present in the reservoir are smallmouth bass, splake, rock bass, yellow perch, sunfish and brown trout. There is a state owned hard surface ramp on Stillwater Road, 28 miles east of Lowville, New York.
Witchhopple Lake is located by Keepawa, New York. The outlet flows into Salmon Lake and then from there into Stillwater Reservoir. Fish species present in Witchhopple Lake are brook trout, white sucker, sunfish, yellow perch, and splake. Access by trail from the north shore of Stillwater Reservoir. No motors are allowed on Witchhopple Lake. There is a trail that goes from Witchhopple Lake to Negro Lake called Bushwhack Trail.
Salmon Lake is located west of Brandreth, New York. The outlet of the lake flows through an unnamed creek into Trout Pond. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, brown trout, sunfish, black bullhead, yellow perch, and lake trout. Access by hiking a trail from Trout Pond off Stillwater Reservoir. No motors are allowed on Salmon Lake.
Twitchell Lake is located northeast of Big Moose, New York. The outlet is Twitchell Creek which flows into Stillwater Reservoir. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, yellow perch, and black bullhead. There is a state owned beach launch located on Twitchell Road. There is not a horsepower motor limit on Twitchell Lake. Twitchell Mountain is located northwest of Twitchell Lake.
Streeter Lake is located south of Star Lake, New York. Fish species present in the lake are white sucker, brown trout, brook trout, and black bullhead. There is a carry down launch off Coffin Mills Road on the east and west shore.
Evergreen Lake is located northeast of Stillwater, New York. The outflow creek flows into Stillwater Reservoir. Fish species present in the lake are brown bullhead, and brook trout. Access via trail from the north shore of Stillwater Reservoir. No motors are allowed on Evergreen Lake.
Peaked Mountain Lake is located northeast of Stillwater, New York. The outflow creek flows into Stillwater Reservoir. Fish species present in the lake are brown bullhead, and brook trout. Access via bushwhack trail from evergreen lake trail. No motors are allowed on Peaked Mountain Lake.
Chub Lake is a lake located west of Raquette Lake, New York. Fish species present in the lake are black bullhead, and brook trout. There is trail access on the south and west shore from the north shore of Constable Pond. No motors are allowed on Chub Lake.
Cedar Lake is located northwest of Sled Harbor, New York. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, black bullhead, and white sucker. There is trail access on the north and west shores from Sled Harbor. There is also trail access to Whitney Lake. No motors are allowed on this lake.
Lizard Pond is located in the Adirondack Mountains southwest of Garnet Lake, New York. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, and black bullhead. There is carry down trail access off Garnet Lake on the southeast shore.
Kibby Pond is located southeast of Bakers Mills, New York. Fish species present in the lake are tiger trout, brook trout, and brown bullhead. There is a 2 mile trail off CR-8 to the west shore.
Quaker Lake is a lake located south of Coldspring, New York. Fish species present in the lake are rainbow trout, brown trout, brook trout, and black bullhead. There is a state owned carry down launch located in Allegany State Park off NY-280. The state park also offers a swimming area and facilities on the lake.
Jamesville Reservoir is a lake located by Jamesville, New York. Fish species present in the lake include bluegill, largemouth bass, yellow perch, black bullhead, tiger muskie, rock bass, smallmouth bass, pickerel, walleye, and pumpkinseed sunfish. There is carry down access located at the Jamesville Beach Park with the purchase of a day use fee.
Tuscarora Lake also called Erieville Reservoir is a lake located by Erieville, New York. The lake was created in 1850 as a feeder for the Erie Canal and is still used as a feeder for the canal. Tuscarora Lake is the highest reservoir in New York State. The lake is stocked with fish each year with funds that are provided by donations and proceeds from the ice-fishing derby. Fish species that are present in the lake include pumpkinseed sunfish, walleye, and largemouth bass.
Eaton Reservoir also called Eaton Brook Reservoir is a man-made lake located by Erieville, New York. Fish species present in the lake include pumpkinseed sunfish, walleye, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, bluegill, pickerel, rock bass, rainbow trout, and largemouth bass.
