Mill Creek (Niangua River tributary)

Mill Creek is a stream in northern Dallas County in the Ozarks of southwest Missouri. [1] It is a tributary of the Niangua River.

The stream headwaters are at 37°52′38″N92°56′57″W / 37.87722°N 92.94917°W / 37.87722; -92.94917 and the confluence with the Niangua is at 37°52′43″N92°53′06″W / 37.87861°N 92.88500°W / 37.87861; -92.88500 . [1] The stream source area lies east of Missouri Route 73 and it flows east passing north of the Lead Mine Conservation Area. It flows parallel to Missouri Route E and past the community of Celt prior to its confluence with the Niangua River. [2] [3]

Mill Creek was named on account of the watermills along its course. [4]

The Niangua River is a 125-mile-long (201 km) tributary of the Osage River in the Ozarks region of southern and central Missouri in the United States. Via the Osage and Missouri rivers it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River.

The Katy Trail crosses Cedar Creek just north of its confluence with the Missouri.
