Milo Clarke (born 31 March 1997) is an English actor. Following stage roles including 27 Wagons Full of Cotton , 24 Italian Songs and Arias , The Alchemist and The Play That Goes Wrong , Clarke was cast in the BBC medical drama series as Teddy Gowan in 2021.

Life and career

Clarke was born on 31 March 1997 in Manchester. [1] [2] He did a foundation course in acting at ALRA South on Wandsworth Common, before going onto obtain a BA in acting from ALRA North in Wigan. [3] Whilst attending ALRA, Clarke appeared in various theatre productions. He made his stage debut in 2017, portraying Silva Vicarro in 27 Wagons Full of Cotton . [4] A year later, he appeared in Theatre503's production of Copper and Steel as Flint, as well as Beep at the Afterthought Theatre. [5] In 2019, the year he graduated from ALRA, Clarke starred in 24 Italian Songs and Arias at the Yard Theatre. [6] He also portrayed Subtle in The Alchemist at the Globe Theatre. [7]

2019 also marked Clarke's West End theatre debut when he portrayed Max in the Mischief Theatre's production of The Play That Goes Wrong . [8] [9] He appeared in the production until 2021. [10] [11] That same year, Clarke was cast in the BBC medical drama Casualty . [12] He was introduced as a paramedic and the nephew of established character Jan Jenning (Di Botcher), [13] with his first appearance airing on 14 August 2021. [14] After he was at the centre of a storyline that sees Teddy sexually assaulted, [15] Clarke was nominated for Best Drama Star at the 2024 Inside Soap Awards. [16]

<i>The Goes Wrong Show</i> BBC comedy television series (2019–2021)

The Goes Wrong Show was a British comedy television series created by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, and produced by Mischief Screen and Big Talk Productions, in association with Lionsgate UK, for the BBC. The programme stars the ensemble members of the Mischief Theatre company, who reprise their roles as the members of the fictitious theatre company, "Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society", as they conduct a "live" televised stage play, which tends to go wrong due to mistakes, accidents and other issues that hamper the company's efforts. The concept was devised by Lewis, Sayer and Shields following two television Christmas specials for the BBC, with the series premiering on BBC One on 23 December 2019. In 2020, the group conducted a second series, but under strict guidelines due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, which aired on 27 September 2021.

The thirty-seventh series of the British medical drama television series Casualty began airing on BBC One in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2022. The series focuses on the professional and personal lives of medical and ancillary staff at the emergency department (ED) of the fictional Holby City Hospital. Jon Sen continues his role as the executive producer and Liza Mellody begins her position as series producer. Series 37 marks the return to regular filming protocols after the COVID-19 pandemic. The series has been marred by scheduling conflicts, with one episode premiering on BBC Two.
