The Milwaukee County Federated Library System (MCFLS) is a public library organization that coordinates activities between its member public libraries, which collectively serve the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is governed by a board of trustees and funded by the State of Wisconsin and each member library. [1]

Purpose

The MCFLS provides a number of useful services to any person who is a member of one of its libraries. These services allow the person to use any member library as if they belonged to it, such as searching all libraries' collection through a common catalog system, checking out any library's materials through the internet, and requesting them to be delivered to a closer library. The MCFLS also provides administration services to each of its member libraries, such as assisting with technical upgrades, submitting annual reports, purchasing subscription database services, and providing continuing education opportunities. Milwaukee Area Technical College

Milwaukee Area Technical College is a public two-year vocational-technical college based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. MATC offers day, evening, and weekend classes at campuses in downtown Milwaukee, Oak Creek, West Allis, and Mequon. Enrollment is about 35,000. MATC offers over a dozen accredited associate degrees, as well as well over a hundred vocational licenses, job training certificates, and adult enrichment courses. MATC also runs GED and HSED classes at local community-based organizations and offers high school diplomas through its Adult High School program.

Milwaukee Public Library

Milwaukee Public Library (MPL) is the public library system in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, consisting of a central library and 13 branches, all part of the Milwaukee County Federated Library System. MPL is the largest public library system in Wisconsin.

The Eastern Shores Library System (ESLS) was one of 17 public library systems in Wisconsin. Founded in 1987, it had 13 member libraries, with five in Ozaukee County and eight located in Sheboygan County, in addition to a bookmobile. Sheboygan's Mead Public Library served as the resource library for the system. The last director of ESLS was Amy Birtell.

Library System of Lancaster County

The Library System of Lancaster County (LSLC) is a federated system which serves 519,462 residents in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It comprises 14 member libraries, three branches and a bookmobile. LSLC was established in April 1987 to provide well-coordinated, countywide services and cooperative programs to assist member libraries in meeting the diverse needs of its residents. The LSLC support and centralized services include (public Internet access, a shared online public access catalog system, subscription to database- and online homework-help research services, consulting services, continuing education training in internal library operations, governance, business-information services, youth services, public relations, assistance with countywide programs and services, technology support, web hosting, email, calendars, the catalog, circulation, headquarters and library PCs and peripherals, training and security. The system also provides services for ordering, cataloging and processing library materials with collection development, collective purchasing, managing catalog databases, negotiating vendor discounts, and outreach services to special populations through the bookmobile and collection development.

Milwaukee Athletic Club Athletic club in Milwaukee, USA

The Milwaukee Athletic Club, is Milwaukee's only private social and full-service athletic club. It was once known as Milwaukee's premier destination for social, networking and athletics. In 2018, a plan was made to redevelop the building and re-energize the building and restore its reputation. A $61 million investment is underway which will offer premium social, business and athletics gathering spot with 54 high-end apartments featuring best-in-class amenities. The redesign will also open the ground floor to street level to be more welcoming to club members, guests, residents and the public.

Central Library (Milwaukee, Wisconsin) United States historic place

The Central Library is the headquarters for the Milwaukee Public Library System as well as for the Milwaukee County Federated Library System. Designated a Milwaukee Landmark in 1969, the building remains one of Milwaukee's most monumental public structures.
