Jaber al-Ahmad International Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in the Ardhiyah area of Kuwait City, Kuwait. Completed in 2009, it is used mostly for football matches and athletics. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 seated spectators, the building is constructed in 4 levels, with 54 corporate boxes and parking lot with a 6,000 car capacity. It was expected to open in second quarter of 2010, but the building failed structural-integrity testing and remained closed due to a miscalculation by structural engineers for nearly half a decade. However it was finally opened on 18 December 2015. Jaber Al-Ahmad stadium is currently the new home of the Kuwait national football team.

The 2015 AFC Futsal Club Championship was the 6th edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship, the annual Asian futsal club championship organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The tournament was held in Isfahan, Iran between July 31 and August 7, 2015.

Kuwait is one of the most successful teams in the AFC Asian Cup, having won the title once, during 1980 edition which they were awarded as host, became the first Arab team to win the Asian Cup.

The AFC second round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification, which also served as the second round of 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualification, was played from 5 September 2019 to 15 June 2021.

The 2020 AFC Futsal Championship qualification was the qualification process organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to determine the participating teams for the 2020 AFC Futsal Championship, the 16th edition of the international men's futsal championship of Asia.

The 2020 AFC Cup group stage was played from 10 February to 11 March 2020, before the remaining matches were initially suspended, and eventually cancelled by the AFC on 10 September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup is the 16th edition of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup, the biennial international futsal championship organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for the men's national teams of Asia. A total of 16 teams compete in the tournament.

The 2022 UEFA Under-19 Futsal Championship qualifying competition will be a men's under-19 futsal competition to determine the seven teams joining the automatically qualified hosts Spain in the 2022 UEFA Under-19 Futsal Championship final tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 2002 are eligible to participate.

The 2022 Arab Futsal Cup hosted by the Saudi city of Dammam was the sixth edition of the Arab Futsal Cup between 20 and 28 June 2022. Ten teams took part: Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, Mauritania, Egypt, Libya, Algeria and Somalia.
