The Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development is a Minister of the Cabinet of South Africa, with political executive responsibility for agriculture, land reform and rural development, as well as for the Agricultural Research Council, the National Agricultural Marketing Council, Onderstepoort Biological Products, the Perishable Products Export Control Board, and Ncera Farms.
The Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development portfolio was created in the 2019 cabinet reorganization by President Cyril Ramaphosa; the Minister inherited the responsibility for agriculture from the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The last Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries was Senzeni Zokwana with Sfiso Buthelezi as his deputy, before the portfolio was changed in May 2019. [2]

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is a department of His Majesty's Government responsible for environmental protection, food production and standards, agriculture, fisheries and rural communities in the United Kingdom. Concordats set out agreed frameworks for co operation, between it and the Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive, which have devolved responsibilities for these matters in their respective nations.

Barbara Dallas Creecy is a South African politician and previous anti-apartheid activist. A member of the African National Congress, she is currently serving as Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries, and as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. She previously served as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, having been elected in 1994. In 2004, she was named Gauteng MEC for Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture. She served until 2009 when she was appointed MEC for Education. Newly elected premier David Makhura moved Creecy to the Gauteng Finance portfolio in 2014.
The Second Cabinet of Cyril Ramaphosa was formed on 29 May 2019 after President Ramaphosa was inaugurated for his first full-term as President of South Africa following the African National Congress's victory in the 2019 South African general election. The newly appointed ministers were inaugurated the next day by Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria. The cabinet is the third cabinet in Africa to be made completely gender-equal in its composition and the first gender-equal cabinet in South African history.
Mmamoloko Tryphosa Kubayi is a South African politician who is the Minister of Human Settlements and a Member of the National Assembly for the African National Congress (ANC). She is also the current head of the African National Congress's economic transformation subcommittee in the national executive committee (NEC). She was the Minister of Energy in 2017, the Minister of Communications from 2017 to 2018, the Minister of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2019, and the Minister of Tourism from 2019 to 2021.

From June 2014 to May 2019, she was the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Social Development.
Ndumiso Capa is a South African politician from the Eastern Cape who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since 2014, representing the African National Congress, the ruling party in South Africa.
