The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy (Portuguese: Ministro dos Recursos Minerais e Energia) is a cabinet-level position in the national government of Mozambique. The minister oversees policymaking, operation and development of mineral resources and energy. The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, colloquially known for its acronym MIREME, was first created in 1994. After independence, between 1975 and 1983, the portfolios of energy and mineral resources were under the ministry responsible for industry. Between 1983 and 1994, mineral resources and energy were allocated to separate ministries. They were briefly separated again between 2005 and 2015.

Júlio Eduardo Zamith Carrilho was a Mozambican politician and long-time member of FRELIMO. Carrilho studied architecture in Mozambique and was the Minister for Public Works during the single party era after independence. He also served as Minister of Industry and Energy between 1978 and 1980.

A19, also known as Batalha bypass, is a motorway in Portugal connecting São Jorge to the same N1 in South Leiria and extending further to the junction with N109 in North Leiria. The motorway is 16.4 km long and was built in two phases. The section between South Leiria and North Leiria was completed in 2010 and resulted from the enlargement of the existing IC2/N1 single carriageway expressway. On the other hand, the section between São Jorge and South Leiria was a newly built section and was completed in 2011. A19 is partly a toll road: the section from South Leiria to North Leiria is toll-free, as it was built over an existing road, while the section between São Jorge and South Leiria has tolls. Legally, A19 is an integral part of the complementary route IC 2.

Paraná is the second federative unit of Brazil that produces the most talc, which is extracted in the municipality of Ponta Grossa. In 2016, it was responsible for 40% of the country's production, ahead of Bahia and São Paulo. It is the sixth state that produces the most silver, behind Mato Grosso. Coal, dolomite, limestone are also found in Paraná. Shale (schist) is also extracted, which, when heated, provides natural gas, sulfur, and other fuels. Petrobrás developed a shale industrialization program, which includes a plant in São Mateus do Sul, in the south of the state.
