The Ministry of Women's Affairs in Palestine is a government agency responsible for promoting and protecting the rights of women in Palestine. The Ministry was established in 2003, and its mission is to develop and implement policies and programs aimed at improving the status of Palestinian women. [1] The current minister is Amal Hamad. [2]

The Ministry's goals include advancing women's participation in decision-making at all levels, promoting gender equality and eliminating discrimination against women, increasing women's access to education, health care, and other basic services, and protecting women's rights in accordance with international standards. Te Puni Kōkiri is the principal policy advisor of the Government of New Zealand on Māori wellbeing and development. Te Puni Kōkiri was established under the Māori Development Act 1991 with responsibilities to promote Māori achievement in education, training and employment, health, and economic development; and monitor the provision of government services to Māori. As of June 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 145 of the 193 member states of the United Nations, or just over 75% of all UN members. It has been a non-member observer state of the United Nations General Assembly since November 2012. Its mission is to create a favorable work environment, promote social justice, protect the rights of workers, and ensure that employers comply with labor laws and regulations. Nasri Abu Jaish is the current Minister of Labor.
