Aleksandr Kuschynski is a Belarusian former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2004 and 2015 for the Amore & Vita–Beretta, Ceramica Flaminia–Bossini Docce, Liquigas–Doimo, Team Katusha and Minsk teams. Kuschynski was a three-time winner of the Belarusian National Road Race Championships. Kuschynski now works as a directeur sportif for both the men's and women's Minsk Cycling Club teams.
Chrono des Nations – Les Herbiers Vendée is a single-day individual time trial road bicycle race held annually in October in Les Herbiers, Vendée, France. Since 2005, the race is organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour.
Tour de Normandie is a road bicycle race held annually in the region of Normandy, France. The race started in 1939, but was not held in the periods of 1940–1955 and 1960–1980. It was originally a race for amateurs, but was opened for professionals in 1996. The Tour de Normandie has been one of the races in the UCI Europe Tour since 2005, in the 2.2 category. The race was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic The first edition of the women's race was held in March 2023 and was won by Cédrine Kerbaol.

The 2012 Volta a Portugal is a men's road bicycle race held from 15 to 26 August 2012. It is the 74th edition of the men's stage race to be held, which was established in 1927. A part of the 2012 UCI Europe Tour, it is rated as a 2.1 event.
The Beaumont Trophy is a cycle road race first run in 1952. The Trophy was presented to the Gosforth Road Club by Rex Beaumont who was a local cycle wholesaler on Tyneside. The Gosforth Road Club had been created in July 1951 as an offshoot of the Ridley Cycling Club as a result of young riders being unable to gain entry into local races. The race was run under BLRC Regulations from 1952 until 1959 when it came under the regulations of the newly formed British Cycling Federation. It was run continuously from 1952 to 2019, as the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the UK. This 67 year streak made it the longest-running road race in the UK. In the early 1950s the race started and finished in Gosforth Park where the clubhouse was situated. In the early '60s, the start/finish moved to Ponteland because of an increase in traffic. Race distances were normally 85–90 miles and the route was out and back finishing at Cottage Homes, Ponteland.

This was the last season of the competition as World Cup because from 2021, the competition will be renamed to UCI Track Cycling Nations Cup.
