Mint is a Belgian pop-rock band, which since 1999 released five full-length albums.
After releasing a few singles, they worked with Australian producer Peter Crosbie and released Echoes from the Engine Room (2004) on indie-label Green LFant Records from Brussels. Mint played some of the biggest festivals in Belgium: Dour Festival, Marktrock en Pukkelpop. The album was released in The Netherlands, France, and Switzerland in 2005. Their second album, Magnetism, was recorded Richmond, Virginia, with producer John Morand; it was released in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2006, with a CD presentation took place in the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels. Their single "The Magnetism of Pure Gold" reached the number 0 spot at KinkFM, a Dutch alternative radio station.[ citation needed ]
Mint signed with American label Funzalo records, which released Magnetism in the US. The single "Your Shopping Lists are Poetry" reached the first place in the Top 10 of most requested songs on WEQX-radio, an American alternative radio-station.[ citation needed ]
In 2006 they caused a stir in the Belgian media because Queen Fabiola started dancing during their gig at the Royal Palace of Laeken, the traditional residence of the Belgian monarchy. Their third album, Hinterland, was released in 2008 on Munich Records.

Scorpions are a German hard rock band formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker. The lineup from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band's only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions' studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1978, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.

Echo & the Bunnymen is the fifth studio album by the English post-punk band Echo & the Bunnymen, their last with drummer Pete de Freitas, who died in 1989 in a motorcycle accident, aged 27. The album was produced by Laurie Latham; the sessions took place in Germany, Belgium, London and Liverpool, following an aborted attempt at recording the tracks without de Freitas and with producer Gil Norton. With Latham being an exacting producer, and singer Ian McCulloch receiving star treatment and drinking heavily, the recording was more difficult than the band had initially hoped. The album made more use of keyboards than their previous albums, which had been string-heavy. Three singles were issued: "The Game", "Lips Like Sugar" and "Bedbugs and Ballyhoo".
Radio Massacre International is a trio of British musicians, Steve Dinsdale, Duncan Goddard, and Gary Houghton. They specialize in improvisational experimental electronic music, utilising vintage synthesizers and sampled sounds alongside electric guitar. They are also exponents of the Mellotron keyboard. More recently, they have begun to incorporate bass guitar and drums by varying degrees in an attempt to stretch musical boundaries within the confines of a three-piece. Their music has been described alternatively as ambient music, space rock, Krautrock, New Age, Berlin School, and various other terms, although the band itself prefers the label "organic music". Points of reference include bands ranging from Tangerine Dream to "Rabbit"-era Chas and Dave.

The first letters of the band's first seven studio albums form an acronym of their home town. They have performed at every Exit festival since the first in 2000, with the exception of the virtual Exit held in September 2020.

Ten Second Epic was a Canadian five-piece alternative rock band from Edmonton. The band formed in 2002 consisting of Andrew Usenik (vocals), Daniel Carriere (guitar), Craig Spelliscy (guitar), Sandy MacKinnon (bass) and Patrick Birtles (drums). TSE released three full-length albums in the course of their career, Count Yourself In, Hometown and Better Off. The band officially announced their breakup on February 25, 2014, and did their final tour in May 2014.
The Sunpilots are a four-piece Australian-German alternative rock band formed in 2006 by mainstays Raj Siva-Rajah on lead vocals and Bob Spencer on lead guitar. Dudley S. Taft is an American musician. Taft is a blues/rock musician who fronts the Dudley Taft Band and was a songwriting member of Seattle band Sweet Water and member and chief songwriter of Seattle, Washington-based rock band Second Coming. He is the great-great-grandnephew of United States President William Howard Taft.

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart were an American indie pop band from New York City, formed in 2007. The band centered around founding member and principal songwriter Kip Berman. In the band's final iteration, Berman was joined in concert by Christoph Hochheim (guitar), Jen Goma, Jacob Sloan (bass), and Anton Hochheim (drums). Former members and contributors include Peggy Wang, Connor Hanwick, Kurt Feldman and Alex Naidus.
Jonathan Ivo Gilles Vandenbroeck, known professionally as Milow, is a Belgian singer-songwriter. Milow released his debut album, The Bigger Picture, in 2006 on his own label Homerun Records. The fourth single from that album, "You Don't Know," became one of the biggest hit singles of the year in Belgium in 2007, and The Bigger Picture stayed on the Belgian album chart for 110 weeks. However, it was not until his second self-released album Coming of Age in 2008, that Milow achieved major commercial success all over mainland Europe. The album peaked at number three on the German Album Top 50 chart, at number four in the Swiss Album Top 100, and peaked in the top twenty of many European charts. The album reached platinum in Germany and Switzerland, it reached gold in France, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and it sold over 500,000 copies in mainland Europe and Canada.
