Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageants select the representative for each state for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant.
Miss America's Outstanding Teen is an American scholarship pageant. It is a sister company to the Miss America Organization, and it aims to "promote scholastic achievement, creative accomplishment, healthy living and community involvement for America's teens." In order to be eligible to compete, participants must first compete and win at the local level and then win the state title. The competition consists of several parts of competition which consists of a ten-minute interview in front of a panel of judges, talent, physical fitness, evening wear, and an on stage question. All competitors must be girls between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age.

The first national pageant was held in August 2005 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. [1]

An evening gown, evening dress or gown is a long flowing women's dress usually worn to formal occasions. The drop ranges from ballerina, tea, to full-length. Evening gowns are usually made of luxurious fabrics such as chiffon, velvet, satin, organza, etc. Silk is a popular fibre for many evening gowns. Although the terms are used interchangeably, ball gowns and evening gowns differ in that a ball gown will always have a full skirt and a fitted bodice, while an evening gown can be any silhouette—sheath, mermaid, A-line, or trumpet shaped—and may have an empire or dropped waist.
