Miss Caribbean UK 2016, the 3rd edition of the Miss Caribbean UK pageant, was held on 3 December 2016 at the Broadway Theatre in Catford London, UK. Amy Harris-Willock crowned her successor, the model, Jodie Hodgson, who was representing Barbados. [1] Thirteen contestants competed for the crown.

Miss Caribbean UK beauty contest

Miss Caribbean UK is an Afro-Caribbean beauty pageant held in the United Kingdom. It was created by Clayton Brown and Jacqui Brown in 2014. The stated aims of the pageant are to promote, educate, inspire and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean within the United Kingdom. The organisation has adopted the slogan "Positively Promoting the Caribbean"™, aiming to inspire, inform and unite all the different Caribbean countries under one umbrella. The event uses a pageant to promote, educate, inspire and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of the Caribbean within the United Kingdom. The Patron is Barrister and TV personality Shaun Wallace. 

Broadway Theatre, Catford theatre and former cinema in Catford, Lewisham, London, England

The Broadway Theatre is a theatre on Rushey Green, Catford, in the London Borough of Lewisham. A grade II listed building, the theatre was built in 1932 and is an example of Art Deco design. The architects were Bradshaw Gass & Hope; the slightly Gothic features were intended to relate to the adjacent Gothic Revival Town Hall which has since been demolished.

Miss World is the oldest running international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Diplomatic relations between Barbados and the People's Republic of China were established on 30 May 1977. China began providing Barbados with diplomatic aide with the construction of the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium (1986), and other projects such as: construction assistance for the Sir Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference and Cultural Centre (1994), and renovating Bridgetown's Cheapside Market building (2005). In 2005, China exported US$19.19 million worth of goods, while importing only $211,000 from Barbados.

Miss Caribbean UK 2014

Miss Caribbean UK 2014, the inaugural edition of the Miss Caribbean UK pageant, was held on 30 November 2014 at the Tabernacle, Notting Hill in London, UK. Co-founder and pageant director Jacqui Brown crowned her first queen Keeleigh Griffith representing Barbados on the 38th anniversary of the Barbados Independence Act 1966. Eight contestants competed for the crown.

Miss World 2019 69th Miss World pageant

Miss World 2019, the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, will be held on December 14, 2019 at the ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom. Vanessa Ponce of Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.
