Diego Borja Ecuadorian economist and politician

Diego Borja Cornejo is an Ecuadorian economist and politician born in Quito, Ecuador. Between 2005 and 2006 he served as Minister of Economy and Finance. He was elected member of the National Constitutional Assembly on September 30, 2007. He resigned this position to be appointed Coordination Minister for Economic Policy on December 23, 2008

PROFECO

The Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor, or Office of the Federal Prosecutor for the Consumer, is an organization of the Mexican government led by on the Attorney General. Mexico became the second Latin American nation to pass a Federal Consumer Protection Law, on February 5, 1976, and later became the first to create an Office for the Prosecutor. By 1982, the Office had 32 representations, one in each state and one in the Federal District. PROFECO has in total 51 offices all over the republic, and its main office is in Mexico City. The most recent reform of this federal law was signed by the Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto at the beginning of 2018.

The Miss Ecuador 2008 was on March 18, 2008. There were 19 candidates for the national title. The winner was Doménica Saporitti from Guayas. She was crowned by Lugina Cabezas from Pichincha. She represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2008.

The Miss Ecuador 2006 was on March 16, 2006. There were 16 candidates for the national title. As Miss Ecuador 2006 was elected Catalina López, she was crowned by Ximena Zamora from Pichincha. The winner represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2006.

Miss Earth Ecuador is one of the official preliminaries to the international Miss Earth beauty pageant, which was established in the Philippines in 2001. The pageant focuses mainly on promoting environmental causes and winners are chosen equally on their physical attributes as well as their understanding and knowledge of the issues affecting the Earth.

The 2012 Campeonato Ecuatoriano de Fútbol de la Serie A was the 54th season of the Serie A, Ecuador's premier football league. The season began on February 3 and ended in December 2012. Deportivo Quito was the defending champion. They were succeeded by Barcelona, who won their record-breaking 14th title.

Jéssica competed at Miss Universe 2001.

The Miss Ecuador 2000 was held on April 6, 2000. There were 11 candidates for the national title; in the end of the night Carolina Alfonso from Pichincha crowned to Gabriela Cadena from Guayas as Miss Ecuador 2000. The Miss Ecuador compete at Miss Universe 2000.

The Miss Ecuador 1999 was held on April 16, 1999. There were 19 candidates for the national title; in the end of night Soraya Hogonaga from Pichincha crowned to Carolina Alfonso from Pichincha as Miss Ecuador 1999. The Miss Ecuador competed at Miss Universe 1999.

The Miss Ecuador 1997 was held on April 17, 1997. There were 12 candidates for the national title; in the end of the night, Mónica Chalá from Pichincha crowned to María Jóse López from Pichincha as Miss Ecuador 1997. The Miss Ecuador competed at Miss Universe 1997.

Ángela Maritza Bonilla Zapata is an Ecuadorian model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Earth Ecuador 2015. She also won Miss Global 2016 representing Ecuador.

The Miss Ecuador 1973, Patricia Rivadeneira of Cuenca, was crowned on April 30, 1973 in Telecentro by Miss Ecuador 1972, Patricia Falconi from Pichincha. She did not compete at Miss Universe 1973 nor Miss World 1973, instead, she competed at Miss Maja in Zaragoza, Spain.

The Miss Ecuador 1977, Lucía Hernández from Manabí, was crowned on June 17, 1977. She was crowned by Gilda Plaza from Guayas, Miss Ecuador 1976. She competed at Miss Universe 1977 and Miss World 1977.

The Miss Ecuador 1984 was held on May 29, 1984. There were 12 candidates competing for the national title. At the end of night María del Mar García from Manabí crowned Leonor Gonzembach as Miss Ecuador 1984. The Miss Ecuador competed in Miss Universe 1984.

The Miss Ecuador 1986 competition was on March 27, 1986. There were 16 candidates for the national title. The previous winner, María Elena Stagnl from Guayas, crowned her successor, Verónica Sevilla from Pichincha as Miss Ecuador 1986. Sevilla competed at Miss Universe 1986.
