Miss Ecuador 2023 was the 73rd edition of the Miss Ecuador pageant. The contest was scheduled to be held on July 1, 2023, in Santo Domingo de Los Colorados. The winner represented Ecuador at Miss Universe 2023 and first runner-up will compete at Miss International 2024. [2]

Miss World Ecuador 2018, the 6th edition of the Miss World Ecuador was held on June 13, 2018 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Romina Zeballos from Guayas crowned Nicol Ocles as her successor, Miss World Ecuador 2018. She competed at Miss World 2018.The contest was directed by Tahíz Panús, and Julián Pico was the general producer. Miss Ecuador 2021 was the 71st edition of the Miss Ecuador pageant. The contest was held on September 11, 2021 in Quevedo, Los Ríos. Leyla Espinoza from Los Ríos crowned her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2021, and the first Runner-up will compete at Miss International 2022.

Claudia Elena Schiess Fretz is an Ecuadorian beauty queen crowned Miss Ecuador 2011 and represented her country in the Miss Universe pageant that same year. On October 22, 2011, she won Miss American Continent 2011; becoming the first Ecuadorian to achieve this title.

The contest is scheduled to be held on June 8, 2024 in Machala, El Oro where 15 provinces, 5 cities, 3 regions and 2 communities will be represented. The winner will represent Ecuador at Miss Universe 2024.
