Miss Ideal Nigeria established in 2014 is a Nigerian beauty pageant organized by the House of Twitch and is aimed at empowering young women across Nigeria. The winners and runners up of Miss Ideal Nigeria automatically represents Nigeria at Miss Global Beauty queen pageant, Miss Tourism World, and Top Model of the World. [1] [2]

The current titleholder is Trustmudje Akpomudje who represented Edo State in the competition. [3]

Competition

After series of virtual screenings and interview, 36 girls are being selected from across Nigeria to compete at the grand finale which is usually held in Lagos, Nigeria. [2]

As at 2023, the winner of Miss Ideal Nigeria automatically earns an opportunity to represent Nigeria in the Top Model of the World competition. The winner also gets prizes from MTN, Golden Penny, Chiplab, Five million naira from Hairlab,  5 million in digital advertising from Motomedia and Five hundred thousand Naira from Motomedia for her petproject.  Also, the winner receives free gifts from Diane Zoe, House of Tife, Manell Headquarters, Chief Mrs. Jumoke of Teekay Fashion, and Arch angel designs. History

Miss Ideal was established in 2014 by Ayotunde Fabamwo, the CEO of House of Twitch. The inaugural titleholder, Princess Adesile, represented Nigeria at the Top Model of Colour 2014 competition in London. [5] In 2016, Nkemneme Queen Amaka became the first contestant from Miss Ideal to represent Nigeria at the Miss Global Beauty Queen pageant in South Korea. [6]

In 2019, the pageant introduced a new format, crowning two winners. Oyin Damola represented Nigeria at Miss Global Beauty, while Sonia Ben-Woko became the Nigeria's first representative at Miss Tourism Worldwide. [7]

Due to the global pandemic in 2020, winner Wendy Abdul was unable to participate in Miss Global Beauty as the event was canceled. In 2021, Miss Ideal acquired the franchise for Top Model of the World, and Wendy Abdul represented Nigeria at the competition. [8] [9]

Some Miss Ideal winners have so far achieved commercial success, with Nkemneme Queen becoming the face of 9mobile, and Precious Adigwe being named the face of MTN.

The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria – often abbreviated as MBGN – is a pageant organised by Silverbird Group with the main purpose of sending representatives to international competitions. Originally known as Miss Universe Nigeria, it was renamed Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria after news publishers Daily Times lost their license to send delegates from rival contest Miss Nigeria to Miss World. Since 2005, the pageant has produced multiple representatives, but the MBGN World recipient is considered the overall winner. Miss Universe Nigeria was reestablished in 2023, breaking away from MBGN and operating as an entirely different pageant.

Miss Nigeria is an annual pageant showcasing positive attributes of Nigerian women, and awarding university scholarships. The winner is expected to portray exemplary qualities whilst serving as a role model to young women in the country. The pageant is currently organised by Daily Times.

Stellah Nantumbwe also Stella Nantumbwe commonly known as Ellah is a Ugandan actress, media personality and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Uganda 2013. She was Uganda's representative to the Big Brother Africa, in 2014.

Candidates from eighteen states of Nigeria competed for the title and the representative of Edo State, Rachael Onuwa Ikekhuame, was named the winner and received one million Nigerian naira cash prize as a reward. Mr Ideal Nigeria which was established in 2010 is an annual pageant that empowers young men in Nigeria physically, socially and economically. The winner of Mr Ideal Nigeria automatically represents Nigeria at Mister Africa International. Mr Ideal Nigeria emerged best male pageant brand of the year at the Eko Heritage awards in 2023.

Emmanuel Somto is a Nigerian Model, TV personality and Actor. He won Mr Teen Nigeria in 2016, emerged African Continental Champion at the Mister Model International 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. He emerged Face of Oppo Mobile in 2020 and he is the first Nigerian to make Top 17 at Mister Global pageant.

Miss Tourism Nigeria is a Nigerian beauty pageant aimed at supporting today's women through its passion for pageantry with a purpose. The winner of Miss Tourism Nigeria represents Nigeria at Miss Tourism World while the runner up represents Nigeria at the Miss Tourism Africa.

Mister Africa International, established in 2012, is an annual international male pageant organised by House of Twitch, it involves a worldwide search for the most adorable African man in the world. It currently has franchises in 30 African countries and has had participations from 40 African countries.
