Miss Universe Cambodia 2024 is the 8th edition of the Miss Universe Cambodia pageant, held on August 29, 2024, at Camwood CTN in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. [1]
Outgoing titleholder Sotima John of Kampong Cham crowned Davin Prasath of Phnom Penh as her successor at the end of the event. Davin will represent the Cambodia at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant to be held in Mexico. She is noted as the first-ever married Cambodian woman and mother to have been selected to represent the country in Miss Universe. [2]
On April 2, 2024, the Miss Universe Cambodia organization announced that the coronation night will be held on August 29 at the Camwood CTN studio in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. [3]
On May 29, 2024, Miss Universe announced Mr.Chhoy as the new National Director of Miss Universe Cambodia. [4] This marks his first time overseeing and organizing the pageant. Subsequently, on June 8, 2024, Miss Universe Cambodia announced the top five contestants. [5] [6] The event also featured face-to-face interviews, where the winners were selected to represent Cambodia in the upcoming international competition.

The Cambodia national football team is the men's national football team that represents Cambodia in association football. It is affiliated with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the regional ASEAN Football Federation (AFF). The team was founded in 1954 and is administered by the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC).
Pen Sovan was a Cambodian politician and revolutionary who served as the Prime Minister of the Hanoi-backed People's Republic of Kampuchea from 27 June to 5 December 1981. He also served as General Secretary of the Kampuchean People's Revolutionary Party (KPRP) from 1979 to 1981. He was arrested and removed from office in December 1981 by the Vietnamese for irritating Lê Đức Thọ, the chief adviser to the PRK government. He was imprisoned in Vietnam until January 1992.

Miss Grand Cambodia is an annual female beauty pageant in Cambodia, founded in 2015 by BKA Entertainment chaired by a Thai businessperson in Cambodia Boonkerd Angamnuaysiri, the finalists of the contest have been sent to participate in various international contests including its parent stage, Miss Grand International. In 2020, The pageant patent was transferred to a Phnom Penh-based event organizer managed by Sophin In,Mohahang Production, and then to a cosmetics and dietary supplement retailer, HK 7 Co., Ltd., headed by Sokunthea Im, in 2023.
Miss Grand Cambodia 2016 was the second edition of the Miss Grand Cambodia beauty pageant, held at the Nagaworld Hotel in Phnom Penh, on June 30, 2016. Twenty-three contestants, who qualified for the national contest through online screening, competed for the title, of whom a 19-year-old nursing student from Phnom Penh, Heng Chantha, was named the winner, and was expected to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2016 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada, however, her visa application was rejected by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement caused her to withdraw from the competition.
Miss Grand Cambodia 2021 was the seventh edition of the Miss Grand Cambodia beauty pageant, held at the AEON Mall, Sen Sok City in Phnom Penh, on October 10, 2021. Twenty-five contestants, who qualified for the national contest through online screening, competed for the title, of whom a 23-year-old nursing student Miss City Tourism and Miss-Asia Pacific International Cambodia former from Battambang, Sothida Pokimtheng, was named the winner. She later represented Cambodia in the Miss Grand International 2021 held that year in Thailand on December 4, where she placed among the top 10 finalists and also won the Miss Popular Vote awards.
Thoeun Theara, is a Cambodian Kun Khmer fighter and kickboxer. In 2022, he rose to fame after becoming the first Cambodian boxer to win a title at a Thai Fight event when he won the Thai Fight Kard Chuek 72.5 kg King's Cup Championship by knocking out Thai star Saiyok Pumpanmuang in Thailand. After defeating Saiyok Pumpanmuang and Beckham Banchamek, the World Muaythai Organization (WMO) ranked Theara #1 in the world Muaythai middleweight rankings (72.5 kg) category. Theara is considered one of the most successful fighters in Kun Khmer.
Phal Sophorn is a Cambodian professional Kun Khmer fighter originally from the capital city of Phnom Penh. He has extensive experience in both boxing and Kun Khmer kickboxing. His ring nickname is Nak Leng Keng Pi Kheat and Damrey Phluk Pi Kheat, which translate to "the Killer Elbow" and "the Killer Elephant" respectively.
Sruong Pheavy is a Cambodian carom billiards player specialized in thiree-cushion event. She is widely well known in Cambodia and South Korea. She finished third twice in the UMB Women's World Three-cushion Championship.
Ke Leng is a retired Cambodian pétanque player. She won four consecutive Women's Pétanque World Championships in the precision shooting category. She is widely considered one of the greatest Cambodian pétanque players and Cambodian athletes.

Miss Grand Cambodia 2024 was the 10th edition of the Miss Grand Cambodia pageant, held in Koh Pich Theater in Phnom Penh on 12 July 2024. Contestants from 25 provinces and autonomous municipality of Cambodia competed for the title. At the end of the event, Phoem Sreynor of Phnom Penh crowned Sotheary Bee of Kampong Chhnang as her successor. Sotheary Bee will represent the country at the international parent stage, Miss Grand International 2024, to be finalized on October 25, 2024, in Thailand.
The second series of the Cambodian reality television series MasterChef Khmer began on 9 August 2020 and aired on CTN TV. Jessica Elite Sethavarat, Ren Nara and Su Sophorn Rithy returned as judges. This is the last season of MasterChef Khmer to feature Sophorn, before he passed away due to illness while the show still airing.
