The Mitropa Futsal Cup is an annual futsal competition and considered one of the most important European futsal tournaments. It is a preparation tournament for the UEFA Futsal Cup and takes place every year at a different venue in Central Europe. The name derives from the famous Mitropa Cup football competition, which was played between 1927 and 1992. The Mitropa Futsal Cup has been played since 2009 and features the best teams as well as national futsal champions from Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Ferencvárosi TC Hungarian football club

Ferencvárosi Torna Club, known as Ferencváros, Fradi, or simply FTC, is a professional football club based in Ferencváros, Budapest, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, the top flight of Hungarian football. Ferencváros was founded in 1899 by Ferenc Springer and a group of local residents of Budapest's ninth district, Ferencváros. Ferencváros is best known internationally for winning the 1964–65 edition of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup after defeating Juventus 1–0 in Turin in the final. UEFA competitions, referred improperly by the mass media as European football, are the set of tournaments organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), generally in professional and amateur association football and futsal. The term was established in 1971 by the confederation to differentiate the men's football competitions under its administration, the first in history being held at a pan-European stage, from other international competitions carried out in the continent between 1960s and 1990s, such as the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, International Football Cup and Karl Rappan Cup, Cup of the Alps, Balkans Cup and the restructured Mitropa Cup. All these tournaments were organised by private bodies and/or at least two national associations and concerning one of more regional areas of Europe, not being recognised by UEFA for historic-statistical purposes.

UEFA Futsal Champions League Football tournament

The UEFA Futsal Champions League is an annual futsal competition for European club teams organized by UEFA. It was founded as the UEFA Futsal Cup in 2001 and replaced the Futsal European Clubs Championship, an unofficial competition held since 1984. The final of the first edition was disputed as a single game in Lisbon, while the following four editions were decided over two legs. Since 2006–07, the winner is decided through a final four tournament.

The 2017–18 UEFA Futsal Cup was the 32nd edition of Europe's premier club futsal tournament, and the 17th edition under the current UEFA Futsal Cup format organized by UEFA.

The 2018–19 UEFA Futsal Champions League was the 33rd edition of Europe's premier club futsal tournament, and the 18th edition organized by UEFA. The final tournament took place at the Almaty Arena in Almaty, Kazakhstan on 26–28 April 2019.

The 2017–18 Mitropa Futsal Cup was the 8th edition of The Mitropa Futsal Cup, an annual international futsal competition, which took place on August 14, 2016 at the Sporthalle Hollgasse in Vienna. It did feature futsal teams from Austria, Hungary, The Czech Republic and Germany.

The highest German futsal league is the Futsal Bundesliga, ten teams play against each other in the league system. At the end of the regular season there is a championship round in which the German champions are played out. The bottom of the table is relegated directly to one of the five subordinate regional leagues. The penultimate plays with the champions of the five regional leagues in a relegation. Among them, the second highest league is one of the five regional leagues, called the Regionalliga. The winner of the respective regional futsal league has the chance to take part in the qualifying matches (relegation) for the Futsal-Bundesliga. The Bundesliga champions qualify for the UEFA Futsal Champions League.
