Modulate is the studio project of Manchester-based DJ Geoff Lee. They are an Electronic dance music group from Manchester, England. Their sound blends elements of various styles including Electro, Rave, Industrial music, Trance music and Hard dance. The band is signed to Metropolis Records (North America) and Infacted Recordings (Europe/RoW). Modulate live shows also features Steve Wilkins
Modulate released several tracks on compilations in 2006; New Input Noise, Endzeit Bunkertracks Act II, and Das Bunker: Fear of a Distorted Planet.
The band signed to Infacted Recordings, Germany [1] for the European and World market (excluding North America), and the short lived Sistinas Records for the North American market, releasing the debut Skullfuck EP in March 2007.
The Skullfuck EP went into the German Alternative Chart (DAC) [2] and peaked at #6, and #3 in the Greek Alternative Chart giving the band what was described as "the scene's club hit of the year" in ReGen Magazine (USA). [3]
Their debut full-length release Detonation was released in September 2008, receiving positive reviews in the alternative media and finding its way into the scene's DJ boxes across the globe. [4] [5] The album spent nearly 2 months in both the Top 10 of the German Alternative Chart (DAC) and the Dutch Underground Chart (DUC) and was voted by DJ's into the DAC Top 50 albums of 2008. [6]
After scoring dancefloor success with his own material, Modulate has become one of the most popular remixers in the alternative electro scene, producing mixes for bands such as Die Krupps, Suicide Commando, Grendel, Aesthetic Perfection, Faderhead, Reaper, Soman and Nachtmahr.
The band has supported Alec Empire (UK leg Past, Present, Future tour), VNV Nation (Judgement tour) [7] [8] and Combichrist (What the Fuck is Wrong with You? tour) sharing the stage with bands such as Front 242, Frontline Assembly, Covenant, Die Krupps, Suicide Commando, And One, playing nearly 100 shows in 11 countries since the release of their first EP.
Modulate played their first live show at the Black Celebration festival at Islington Academy, London, UK, on 5 November 2006. [9]
2007 – Toured in support of the Skullfuck EP, joining VNV Nation on the "Judgement Tour" and Combichrist on the "What The Fuck Is Wrong With You Tour". [10]
2008 – The band played a four date headline tour in the UK [11] as well as headlining the "I am Darkness" festival in Tillburg, Netherlands. [12]
2009 – Modulate supported Alec Empire on the UK leg of the Past, Present, Future tour. [13] As well, they played the Summer Darkness festival in Utrecht, Netherlands, before heading over to the USA to headline a night on the Gothic Cruise festival aboard the Carnival Legend. [14]
2010 saw Modulate deliver a co-headline set at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival in Leipzig, Germany. [15] The band headlined the DV8 Festival in July in York, UK [16] and co-headlined the High Voltage Festival in Frankfurt, Germany, on 31 October, before a headline show at the legendary Slimelight club, [17] London, on New Year's Eve.
In 2011, Modulate continued in the studio and hit the road again with well received sets at the Resistanz (UK) and Kinetik Festival (Canada) festivals [18] [19] plus their own headline ‘Robots’ tour throughout Europe.

Pink Turns Blue is a German rock band from Berlin. Formed in 1985, they were part of the first generation of gothic rock in Germany and released their first LP, If Two Worlds Kiss with a sound reminiscent of new wave with very dark undertones and use of synthesizers, and went to become part of the developing sub-genre of dark wave.
XP8 was an Italian electronic group. The band started in 2001 as a trio, composed of Marco Visconti, Marko Resurreccion, and singer Paul Toohill.
Hatesex is an American, Los Angeles–based goth rock band, founded by former Diva Destruction guitarist Benn Ra and vocalist Krisanna Marie.
Grendel is a Dutch music group formed in 1997. Their music is in the electro-industrial genre. Their name originates from the beast in Beowulf.
Rotersand is a German electronic music act, formed in September 2002 by musician/producer Gun and singer Rascal with dance music producer/DJ Krischan J.E. Wesenberg joining them shortly after. Rotersand's music can generally be described as futurepop; the band themselves refer to it as "industrial pop."
C.O.M.A. was a yearly weekend underground music festival held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from 2004 to 2007 featuring industrial, power electronics, noise and other alternative electronic musicians and DJs. There were both independent and signed bands who were booked to play, as well as many vendors for music and related paraphernalia. Featured record labels and noteworthy companies include: Ant-Zen, Geska Records, .Angle.Rec., Cyclic Law, Force of Nature Records and Bugs Crawling out of People. In 2008, C.O.M.A. was essentially replaced by the Kinetik Festival, which ran until 2013. In 2014, Kinetik was replaced by Aftermath, held in Toronto and featuring many of the same bands that were originally intended to play at the seventh edition of Kinetik.
Endzeit Bunkertracks is an aggrotech/electro-industrial compilation album series featuring exclusive, deleted and/or hard-to-find tracks. The first volume, or "act", consists of 60 tracks, 50 of them being exclusive. Endzeit Bunkertracks follows a style where the album is divided into four "sessions": Evil, Torture, Damage and Death. The second act was released on 11 May 2006, and the third on 26 November 2007. All three came in 4-CD boxes, limited to 1, 666 copies. The fourth volume was released on 13 February 2009.
Lahannya is an English singer, songwriter and performer. Since 2005 she has been the vocalist and front woman of her own band with Lutz Demmler as co-songwriter, producer and bass player. Lahannya and Lutz are complemented live by Christopher Milden and Luca Mazzucconi.
Revolution By Night were an electronic music band based in London, England. Often referred to simply as 'RBN', the only continuous members of the band were founding members Steve Weeks (vocal/keyboards/programming) and Bryon Adamson (keyboards/programming), with Phil Eaton (keyboards) joining in 2006.
