Mohamed Ghalem (born October 17, 1977, in Algiers) is an Algerian football player. He currently plays for ASO Chlef in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Ghalem was born on October 17, 1977, in the Mohamed Belouizdad neighbourhood of Algiers. [1] At a young age, his family moved to the town of Medjana, Bordj Bou Arréridj.

Association Sportive Olympique de Chlef is an Algerian association football club based in Chlef, Chlef Province, that competes in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. The club was formed in Orléansville in 1947 as Association Sportive d'Orléansville, before it was renamed Asnam Sportive Olympique in 1962. The team changed its name one more time in 1977 to be named Olympique El Asnam, two years later to the name Distribution Nouvelle pour Construction d'El Asnam, Three years later after changing the name of the city to Chlef Saad Olympique.
