Mohammad Ayaz (born 13 October 1987) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. [1] [2] Ayaz is a left-handed batsman and left arm fast bowler.

Career

He made his first-class debut for Rawalpindi on 21 October 2007 in the 2007–08 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Pakistan. [3] By December 2011, he played in another thirteen first-class matches and two List A matches in Pakistan. [1]

Since 2015, he has represented the United Arab Emirates. He played in a twenty-over match against an England XI side in November 2015, during England's tour of the UAE. [4] In January 2020, he was added to the UAE's One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2020 Oman Tri-Nation Series. [5] In February 2020, he was named in the UAE's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2020 ACC Western Region T20 qualifier tournament. [6] He made his T20I debut for the UAE, against Saudi Arabia, on 25 February 2020. [7]

Mushtaq was born in Pakistan, and before emigrating to the UAE played first-class cricket for Sialkot and represented the Pakistan under-19s.

The 2016 Asia Cup Qualifier was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Bangladesh from 19 to 22 February 2016. The event served as a qualifier for the 2016 Asia Cup, which was held in the same country later in the month. The tournament was played as a round-robin, with the participants being the four Asian associate members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with T20I status. Ghulam Shabber is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut for the United Arab Emirates cricket team in their three-match series against Oman in October 2016. He retired from cricket in October 2019, mid-way through the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournament, and in September 2021, he was handed a four-year ban from the sport in relation to corruption.

Imran Haider is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut for the United Arab Emirates cricket team in their three-match series against Oman in October 2016.

Mohammad Boota is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his List A debut for the United Arab Emirates against Nepal in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 6 December 2017.

The 2022 Asia Cup Qualification was a men's cricket tournament which took place in Oman in August 2022 to determine qualification for the 2022 Asia Cup. The 2020 editions of the ACC Western and Eastern regional T20 tournaments were held in February and March of the same year by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Thirteen teams competed, with the aim of progressing to the qualifier. These were scheduled to be followed by the Asia Cup Qualifier tournament in Malaysia, which was due to be played in August 2020. However, in July 2020 the Asia Cup was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the postponement of the qualifier. In May 2021, the Asian Cricket Council confirmed that there would be no Asia Cup in 2021, with that edition of the tournament deferred until 2023. It was later announced that there would be a T20I Asia Cup in 2022, to be hosted by the United Arab Emirates.

Ansh Tandon is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. In February 2020, he was named in the UAE's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the 2020 ACC Western Region T20 qualifier tournament. He made his T20I debut for the UAE, against Saudi Arabia, on 25 February 2020. Prior to his T20I debut, he was named in the United Arab Emirates squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and was named as one of the team's key players.

Akif Raja is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He played in one first-class match for Lahore Shalimar in January 2014 in the 2013–14 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Pakistan.
