Career
Islam taught at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. [8] He was the Provost of Shahid Smriti Hall. [6] He served as the President of Bangladesh Computer Society. [6] He was a director of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited. [6]
In December 2017,Islam was appointed vice-chancellor of the Canadian University of Bangladesh. [6] Dr Nazrul Islam joined as pro-vice-chancellor of the Canadian University of Bangladesh under Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam. [9]
Islam was appointed vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University on 20 November 2022. [8] He paid tribute to former President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at his former residence in Dhanmondi,Bangabandhu Memorial Museum. [10]
