Mohammad Nazim Uddin is a Bangladeshi writer, publisher, and translator. [1] Due to his specialization in English, he initially translated several popular English novels and later started to write on his own, which made him a popular writer in Bangladesh and India also. He is well known for his books, including Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Asenni. [2]

Education and early life

Mohammad Nazim Uddin was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He came out of Dhaka University after studying for one year in the Faculty of Fine Arts and obtaining a post-graduate degree from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at the same university. He is the founding publisher of Batighar Prakashani in Bangladesh.[ citation needed ]

Mohammad Nazim Uddin's first published book was 'Nemesis' which attracted the readers' attention as his original writing. The popularity of this book inspired him to write four sequels in a row: 'Contract', 'Nexus', 'Confession' and 'Karachi'. Notable among the books of Mohammad Nazim Uddin are 'Jhal', '1952 – Is Not Just A Number', 'Pendulum', and 'eu Keu Kotha Rakhe'. A total of 11 thriller novels have found a place in the whole of Mohammad Nazim Uddin's book to date. The most popular of these is 'Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Ashenni', which has also got a huge response in West Bengal. It may be mentioned that the sequel of the book 'Rabindranath Ekhane kokhono aseni' was published in 2019 from both Dhaka and Kolkata on the occasion of the book fair. The famous Calcutta publication 'Abhijan Publishers' has also published Indian versions of the author's original thrillers. In addition, a web series directed by Indian director Srijit Mukherjie based on his novel was made for the Indian OTT Platform Hoichoi [10] [11] A web series based on his other novel "Contact" has also been made in Bangladesh. [12] [13] Ainabaji’ star Chanchal Chowdhury and ‘Dhaka Attack’ famed Arifin Shuvo have played Black Ronju and Bastard respectively in the series. Zakia Bari Mamo, Rafiat Rashid Mithila, Tariq Anam Khan, and Shyamal Mawla have also played important characters on the show. Indian OTT Platform ZEE5 is the official OTT distributor of the show.

Keyamot Theke Keyamot is a Bangladeshi musical romantic drama film directed by Sohanur Rahman Sohan. The film was released on Eid vacation and was a huge success throughout Bangladesh. Chhappanno Hajar Borgomail is a 1994 Bangladeshi Bengali-language novel written by Bangladeshi author Humayun Azad. It was the first published novel written by the author. The novel was about 1980's decade's Bangladesh when the country faced social changes during Hussain Muhammad Ershad's rule. The main protagonist character of this novel is Rashed who teaches in Dhaka University; the character is believed to be inspired from Humayun Azad's own character who hated military rule, dictatorial governance and religious fundamentalism. Humayun Azad metaphorically indicated Hussain Muhammad Ershad by creating the fictitious character 'General Uddin Mohammad'. The basic story of the novel is based on Humayun Azad's own experiences. The novel is considered one of the major works of Humayun Azad. Azad dedicated the novel to the lead character of this novel - Rashed, which is also the nickname of his father.

<i>Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni</i> TV series

Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni is a Bengali web series based on the thriller novel of the same name written by Bangladeshi writer Mohammad Nazim Uddin. The series has been released on West Bengal-based Bengali language OTT platform Hoichoi. It is directed by Indian director Srijit Mukherji. This is the second complete web series directed by Srijit Mukherji and his first work in Hoichoi. Initially, shooting was planned in both countries with the participation of several actors from Bangladesh and India, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, shooting was done only in India. However, Azmeri Haque Badhon is the only Bangladeshi playing the central character "Mushkan Zuberi".

Abū al-ʿAzīz Muḥammad Ismāʿīl ʿAlī was a Bengali politician, teacher and activist of the Khilafat Movement. He wrote poetry in Urdu under the pen name of Ālam. His Diwan-i-Alam poem led to the Calcutta Alia Madrasa awarding him the title of Parrot of Bengal in 1910.

Mufakkir al-Islām Ḍiyā' ad-Dīn ibn Muqaddas ʿAlī, better known simply as Zia Uddin or reverentially as Nazim Saheb Huzur, is a Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, politician and educationist. He is currently the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh and Azad Dini Adarah-e-Talim, and an advisor to Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh. Uddin is also the director of Jamia Madania Angura-Muhammadpur and a member of Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh's permanent committee. He has played important roles in the 2013 Shapla Square protests and Khatme Nabuwwat movement, and has spoken out against the construction of the Tipaimukh Dam.

Mohammad Ziauddin, BU is a retired Bangladeshi military officer, who was the Commanding Officer of the 1st East Bengal Regiment during the Bangladesh Liberation War. He was awarded the Bir Uttom, the country's second highest gallantry award for his outstanding bravery in the Liberation War. His certificate number was 22.
