The 2008 Arab Futsal Championship hosted by the Egyptian city of Port Said was the fourth edition of the Arab Futsal Championship between December 23 and 29 2008. Ten teams took part, with Yemen making their futsal debut, and Syria making their competitive futsal debut after having previously played only 2 friendly matches. And Libya is the 2007 Arab Futsal champions.

2009 Al-Fateh Confederations Futsal Cup

The 2009 Al-Fateh Confederations Futsal Cup, being the first Futsal Confederations Cup, was held in Libya from 6 to 11 October 2009. The draw was held on 4 October 2009 in Tripoli. After Spain withdrew on 3 October, it was decided to be a single group competition. Iran won the tournament after winning all their matches.

The 2010 North African Futsal Cup was the 3rd Championship and it took place in Misrata, Libya from September 20-26, 2010, Organised by the Union of North African Football Federations. Palestine were invited after the withdrawal of Egypt.
