Mohan Lal Baklial was an Indian politician. He was elected to the Lok Sabha,lower house of the Parliament of India as a member of the Indian National Congress. [1] [2] [3]
The prime minister of India is the head of government of the Republic of India. Executive authority is vested in the prime minister and their chosen Council of Ministers,despite the president of India being the nominal head of the executive. The prime minister is often the leader of the party or the coalition with a majority in the lower house of the Parliament of India,the Lok Sabha,which is the main legislative body in the Republic of India. The prime minister and their cabinet are at all times responsible to the Lok Sabha.
Swami Vivekananda,born Narendranath Datta,was an Indian Hindu monk,philosopher,author,religious teacher,and the chief disciple of the Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising interfaith awareness,and bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion. Vivekananda became a popular figure after the 1893 Parliament of Religions in Chicago,where he began his famous speech with the words,"Sisters and brothers of America...," before introducing Hinduism to Americans. He was so impactful at the Parliament that an American newspaper described him as “an orator by divine right and undoubtedly the greatest figure at the Parliament”. After great success at the Parliament,in the subsequent years,Vivekananda delivered hundreds of lectures across the United States,England and Europe,disseminating the core tenets of Hindu philosophy,and founded the Vedanta Society of New York and the Vedanta Society of San Francisco,both of which became the foundations for Vedanta Societies in the West.

The president is the nominal head of the executive,the first citizen of the country,as well as the commander-in-chief of the Indian Armed Forces. Droupadi Murmu is the 15th and current president,having taken office from 25 July 2022.
Dadabhai Naoroji also known as the "Grand Old Man of India" and "Unofficial Ambassador of India",was an Indian political leader,merchant,scholar and writer who served as 2nd,9th,and 22nd President of the Indian National Congress from 1886 to 1887,1893 to 1894 and 1906 to 1907. He was a Liberal Party Member of Parliament in the British House of Commons,representing Finsbury Central between 1892 and 1895. He was the second person of Asian descent to be a British MP,the first being Indian MP David Ochterlony Dyce Sombre,who was disenfranchised for corruption after nine months in office.
Languages spoken in the Republic of India belong to several language families,the major ones being the Indo-Aryan languages spoken by 78.05% of Indians and the Dravidian languages spoken by 19.64% of Indians,both families together are sometimes known as Indic languages. Languages spoken by the remaining 2.31% of the population belong to the Austroasiatic,Sino–Tibetan,Tai–Kadai,and a few other minor language families and isolates. As per the People's Linguistic Survey of India,India has the second highest number of languages (780),after Papua New Guinea (840). Ethnologue lists a lower number of 456.
The Lok Sabha,constitutionally the House of the People,is the lower house of India's bicameral Parliament,with the upper house being the Rajya Sabha. Members of the Lok Sabha are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their respective constituencies,and they hold their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the President on the advice of the council of ministers. The house meets in the Lok Sabha Chambers of the Sansad Bhavan,New Delhi.
The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. It is a bicameral legislature composed of the president of India and two houses:the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha. The president in his role as head of the legislature has full powers to summon and prorogue either house of Parliament or to dissolve the Lok Sabha. The president can exercise these powers only upon the advice of the prime minister and his Union Council of Ministers.
There is no national language in the Republic of India. However,article 343(1) of the Indian constitution specifically mentions that "The official language of the Union shall be Hindi in Devanagari script. The form of numerals to be used for the official purposes of the Union shall be the international form of Indian numerals," while clause 3 of the Official Languages Act,1963 mentions the "Continuation of English Language for official purposes of the Union and for use in Parliament",thus denoting Hindi and English as the official languages of the Union. Business in the Indian parliament can only be conducted in Hindi or in English. English is allowed to be used in official purposes such as parliamentary proceedings,judiciary,communications between the Central Government and a State Government. There are various official languages in India at the state/territory level. States within India have the liberty and powers to specify their own official language(s) through legislation. In addition to the official languages,the constitution recognizes 22 regional languages,which include Hindi but not English,as scheduled languages.
The Government of India,known as the Union Government or Central Government but often simply as the Centre,is the national government of the Republic of India,a federal democracy located in South Asia,consisting of 28 union states and eight union territories. Under the Constitution,there are three primary branches of government:the legislative,the executive and the judiciary,whose powers are vested in a bicameral Parliament,President,aided by the Council of Ministers,and the Supreme Court respectively. Through judicial evolution,the Parliament has lost its sovereignty as its amendments to the Constitution are subject to judicial intervention. Judicial appointments in India are unique in that the executive or legislature have negligible say.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is a political party in the Indian state of Jharkhand which was founded by Binod Bihari Mahato. It has one seat in the 17th Lok Sabha. Shibu Soren is the president of the JMM. JMM is also an influential political party in the state of Odisha and parts of neighbouring of states. Its election symbol for Jharkhand is Bow and Arrow.
Jivatram Bhagwandas Kripalani,popularly known as Acharya Kripalani,was an Indian politician,noted particularly for holding the presidency of the Indian National Congress during the transfer of power in 1947 and the husband of Sucheta Kripalani. Kripalani was an environmentalist,mystic and independence activist who was long a Gandhian socialist,before joining the economically right wing Swatantra Party later in life.
Minjur Bhakthavatsalam was an Indian independence activist and politician who served as the chief minister of Madras State from 2 October 1963 to 6 March 1967. He was the last Congress chief minister of Tamil Nadu and the last to have taken part in the Indian independence movement.
Kavalam Madhava Panikkar,popularly known as Sardar K. M. Panikkar,was an Indian statesman and diplomat. He was also a professor,newspaper editor,historian and novelist. He was born in Travancore,then a princely state in the British Indian Empire and was educated in Madras and at the University of Oxford.

Kumaraswami Kamaraj,popularly known as Kamarajar was an Indian independence activist and politician who served as the Chief Minister of Madras State from 13 April 1954 to 2 October 1963. He was the founder and the president of the Indian National Congress (Organisation),widely acknowledged as the "Kingmaker" in Indian politics during the 1960s. He also served as the president of the Indian National Congress for two terms i.e. four years between 1964–1967 and was responsible for the elevation of Lal Bahadur Shastri to the position of Prime Minister of India after Nehru's death and Indira Gandhi after Shastri's death. He was the Member of Parliament,Lok Sabha during 1952–1954 and 1969–1975. He was known for his simplicity and integrity. He played a major role in developing the infrastructure of the Madras state and worked to improve the quality of life of the needy and the disadvantaged.
Lieutenant General Jagjit Singh Aurora,was an Indian Army General Officer who was the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Eastern Command during the third war with Pakistan in 1971. He organised and led the ground forces campaign in the Eastern Front of the war,which led to an overwhelming defeat of the combined Pakistan Armed Forces in East-Pakistan that led to the creation of Bangladesh.
Chander Kishan Daphtary was an Indian lawyer and was the first Solicitor General of India from 1950 to 1963. He was the Attorney General for India from 1963 to 1968. He was the President of the Bar Association of India. He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha the Upper House of Indian Parliament from 1972 to 1978. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1967
The Department Official Language is the Government of India's department responsible for the implementation of the provisions of the Constitution relating to official languages and the provisions of the Official Languages Act,1963. Department of Official Language was set up in June 1975 as an independent Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
