Saptari, a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. Its district headquarter is Rajbiraj. Saptari is an Outer Terai district. This district covers an area of 1,363 km2 (526 sq mi) and has a population (2011) of 639,284 which makes it the 10th most populated district of Nepal. Saptari is renowned for its agricultural output, and is bordered on the east by the massive Sapta Koshi river.
Krishnanagar is a municipality in Kapilvastu district of Lumbini Zone in the western terai part of Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Krishnanagar, Sirsihawa, Shivanagar village development committees (VDCs). on Nepal's southern border with India across from Barhani Bazar. Movement of Indian and Nepalese nationals across the border is unrestricted, however there is a customs checkpoint for goods. Goods bound for Dang and Arcghakhanchi cross here. Krishnanagar is connected by F-12 Chandrauta-Krishnanagar to the east-west Mahendra Highway and Postal Highway.
Wangla is a Market Center in Sandhikharka Municipality of Arghakhanchi District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The former village development committee (VDC) was converted into a municipality on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Sandhikharka, Wangla, Narapani, Khanchikot, Keemadada, Argha and Dibharna VDCs. At the 1991 Nepal census, the town had a population of 5,142 living in 1,033 houses. At the 2001 Nepal census, the population was 5,380, of which 66% was literate.

At the 1991 Nepal census, the town had a population of 5,430 living in 1,085 houses. At the 2001 Nepal census, the population was 3,514, of which 53% was literate.
Dhanushadham is a municipality in Dhanusha District in Province No. 2 of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Govindapur, Umprempur, Yagyabhumi, Dhanushadham village development committees (VDCs). It is a religious place of Hindu worship in Nepal. It is believed that a part of Shiva Dhanusha that was broken by Rama during Sita's swayamvara, is housed. Now there is temple around the remaining of bow and visited by Hindu devotees from all over the world. That's why it is named Dhanushadham.
Chandannath is a municipality in Jumla District in the Karnali Province of Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Mahat Gaun, Talium, Kartik Swami (Jumla), and Chandannath village development committees (VDCs). At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,842 persons living in 1,000 individual households.
Dakha Kwadi is a town and market center in Pyuthan Municipality of Pyuthan, a Middle Hills district of Rapti Zone, western Nepal. The former Village Development Committee along with Pyuthan Khalanga, Bijubar, Dakha Kwadi, Bijaya Nagar, Dharmawati, Maranthana and Khaira were merged to form the new municipality since 18 May 2014.

The formerly Village Development Committee along with Pyuthan Khalanga, Bijubar, Dakha Kwadi, Bijaya Nagar, Dharmawati, Maranthana and Khaira was merged to form the new municipality since 18 May 2014.
Ishworpur is a Municipality in Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Bela, Bhaktipur, Gaurishankar and Ishwarpur VDCs. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 14,014 people living in 249 individual households.
Sukhipur is a municipality in Siraha District in the Madhesh Province of south-eastern Nepal. After the government announcement the municipality was established on 19 September 2015 by merging the existing Mohanpur Kamalpur, Vidhyanagar, Kushaha Laksiminiya, Kabilasi, Silorba Pachhawari Balhi and Sukhipur village development committees (VDCs). The center of the municipality is established in Sukhipur Bazaar. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census after merging the seven VDCs population it had a total population of 20,915 persons. After the government decision the number of municipalities has reached 217 in Nepal.
Basbalpur is a market center and town in Sambhunath Municipality in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The formerly VDC was merged along with Khoksar Parbaha, Sambhunath, Mohanpur, Bhangha and Rampur Jamuwa village development committee new municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2658 people living in 446 individual households.
Bhangha is a market center and town in Sambhunath Municipality in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The formerly VDC was merged along with Khoksar Parbaha, Sambhunath, Mohanpur, Bhangha, Basbalpur and Rampur Jamuwa village development committee new municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4281 people living in 750 individual households.
Khoksar Parbaha is a market center and town in Shambhunath Municipality in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The Khoksar Parbaha village development committee (VDC) was merged with Shambhunath, Mohanpur, Bhangaha, Basbalpur and Rampur Jamuwa VDCs to form a new municipality on 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, Khoksar Parbaha had a population of 2,964 people and 534 individual households. Khoksar Parbaha is bordered by Shambhunath and Terahauta.
Rampur Jamuwa is a market center and town in Sambhunath Municipality in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. The formerly VDC was merged along with Khoksar Parbaha, Sambhunath, Mohanpur, Bhangha and Basbalpur village development committee new municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3158 people living in 559 individual households.
Shambhunath Municipality is a Town in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. Merging the existing Khoksar Parbaha, Shambhunath, Mohanpur, Bhangha, Basbalpur and Rampur Jamuwa village development committee this new municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. Kathauna Bazar is now finally head office of this new municipality. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5168 people living in 933 individual households.
Khaliban is a town in Rampur Municipality in Palpa District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Gadakot, Gegha, Khaliban, Darchha village development committee. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2272 people living in 399 individual households.
Shivanagar is a town in Krishnanagar Municipality in Kapilvastu District in the Lumbini Zone of southern Nepal. The former VDC was merged to form the municipality established on 18 May 2014 Krishnanagar, Sirsihawa, Shivanagar VDCs. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,774 people living in 735 individual households.

The former village development committee was transformed into Municipality from 18 May 2014 by merging the existing Birpur, Chanai, Bishunpur,Jawabhari and Shivapur village development committees. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 7241 people living in 1067 individual households.
Pathari Shanishchare (पथरी-शनिश्चरे) is a Municipality in Morang District in the Koshi Zone of south-eastern Nepal. It was formed by merging three existing village development committees i.e. Hasandaha, Pathari and Sanischare in May 2014.
Kathauna Bazar is a city in Shambhunath Municipality Ward No. 6, in the Saptari district of Nepal. It is 20 km east of Lahan Municipality, and is the central city of Shambhunath Municipality. Shambhunath municipality's head office is located at Kathauna Bazar. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5167 people, living in 933 individual households.
