Monika Zehrt is a retired East German sprinter who specialized in the 400 m. At the 1972 Olympics she won gold medals in the individual 400 m and 4 × 400 m relay, setting an Olympic and a world record, respectively. Zehrt also won relay golds at the 1971 European Championships and the 1970 and 1973 European Cup. During her career she set one world record in the 400 m and four in the 4 × 400 m. After retiring in 1974, she earned a degree in external trade and a leading position at a furniture company. She married, but then divorced Jochen Landgraf, a 400 m hurdler.

Monika Hess is a Swiss former alpine skier who competed in the 1984 Winter Olympics. Monika is a cousin of Erika Hess. She became 11th in the Slalom and 15th in the Giant Slalom in the 1984 Winter Olympics. In the FIS Alpine Skiing World Championships 1982 she was second placed after the first leg but didn't finish the second leg. Monika did win a race in the World Cup: The Alpine Combined Megève / Saint-Gervais-les-Bains on January 25–26, 1986. She retired in 1987.
Monika Mariola Drybulska-Stefanowicz is a Polish marathon runner. She set her personal best time of 2:29:57 at the 2003 Berlin Marathon. Drybulska also competed in the women's marathon at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but did not finish the race.
Monika Schachl is a retired Austrian professional road cyclist and mountain biker. She represented her nation Austria at the 2008 Summer Olympics, and later captured three Austrian championship titles each in mountain biking, road race, and time trial during the 2005 and 2008 seasons. Before her official retirement in 2009, Schachl rode for Team Uniqa Graz in the women's elite professional events on the UCI Women's World Cup, UCI World Championships, and Austrian Championships.
