The Monmouth Hawks baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey, United States. [2] The team is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Monmouth Baseball Field in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The Hawks are coached by Dean Ehehalt.
As of 2020 [update] , at least five Monmouth players, including Brad Brach and Ed Halicki, have played in Major League Baseball. [3] Twenty players have been selected from the school in the Major League Baseball draft with the highest selection being Pat Light who was taken 37th overall in 2012. [4]

The Hawks compete in the NCAA Division I and are members of the Coastal Athletic Association, joining on July 1, 2022. The football team became an FCS Independent for the 2013 season, and moved to the Big South Conference on July 1, 2014. The women's bowling program was a charter member of the Southland Bowling League, a single-sport conference formed in January 2015, but moved that sport to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference after the 2017–18 season, and returned to the Northeast Conference, in which Monmouth had been a full member from 1985 to 2013, as a single-sport member for 2024–25 and beyond.

The Hawks, led by ninth-year head coach King Rice, played their home games at OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 18–13 overall, 12–8 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for third place. Before they could face #5 seeded Quinnipiac in the MAAC tournament quarterfinals, all postseason tournaments were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Hawks, led by tenth-year head coach King Rice, played their home games at OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They finished the season 12–8, 12–6 in MAAC play to finish in a tie for first place. As the No. 2 seed in the MAAC tournament, they lost in the quarterfinals to No. 7 seed Fairfield 60–79.

Howard Joseph Dombroski is baseball pitcher in the Houston Astros organization. He played college baseball for the Monmouth Hawks. He attended Monmouth University to follow in his older brother Regan’s footsteps who was also a star pitcher for the Hawks. The brothers lived together on campus, while in school together, claiming that much of the success was due to bringing their childhood bunk bed with them to Monmouth's West Long Branch campus.
