Mount Subasio is a mountain of the Apennine mountains, in the province of Perugia, Umbria, central Italy. On its slopes are located the ancient towns of Assisi and Spello.
The mountain stands about 1290 metres above sea level.
Its pink colored stones were used for many Franciscan buildings at the World Heritage site of Assisi. The area is included in the natural park Parco del Monte Subasio.
Castle Sasso Rosso ("Redrock") on the slope of Mount Subasio was the site of Clare of Assisi and Agnes of Assisi's childhood since according to tradition they were the daughters of Favorino Scifi, Conte of Sasso-Rosso, the wealthy representative of an ancient Roman family, who owned a large palace in Assisi as well.
The Benedictine Abbot of St. Benedict of Monte Subasio gave the little church of Porziuncola around 1208 to Francis of Assisi, on condition of making it the motherhouse of his religious family.

Castel del Monte is a medieval and Renaissance hill town and comune in the province of L'Aquila in northern Abruzzo, Italy. Castel del Monte sits opposite the ancient mountaintop fortress of Rocca Calascio and faces Monte Sirente in the distance. It is located in the Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park. Assergi is a frazione of the comune of L'Aquila, located about 11 km (6.8 mi) from the capital. The Cinque Vette Park is a natural park, established by the Region of Lombardy on 19 June 2017. The park is located in the north-eastern part of the Province of Varese, in the Italian region of Lombardy. It takes the name from the main geographic features located in the park, the five mountain peaks. The project was launched with the aim of the three local councils of to preserve a green area and make it available for touristic-sportive-cultural initiatives above 500 meters of altitude. The primary goal of the park is to encourage the discovery of the natural features of the north-eastern part of Varese, which offers panoramic view points and preserves historical aspects such as: the remains of the Cadorna Line; the ruins of the Castle of Cuasso al Monte; the Artistic village of Boarezzo; the Saint Gemolo Abbey; the Alpine Village of Mount Piambello; and, the Hospital of Cuasso Al Monte.
Mount Cucco is a mountain located in Umbria, along the Umbrian-Marche Apennines, in the area of Gubbio, included in the territory of the municipalities of Costacciaro, Scheggia e Pascelupo, Fossato di Vico and Sigillo. Since 1995 it has become a protected area under the name of Monte Cucco Park.
