Sompal Kami is a Nepalese professional cricketer. Kami is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He is one of the eleven cricketers to play in Nepal's first ever One Day International (ODI) match,against the Netherlands,in August 2018. In January 2019,he became the first bowler for Nepal to take a five-wicket haul in an ODI.

The ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. In April 2022,USA Cricket confirmed all the fixtures for the series,with all the matches taking place at the Moosa Stadium in Pearland.

Going into the final series of the League 2 tournament,Nepal required four wins from four games to claim the third and final automatic place in the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier,at the expense of Namibia.
