Monument is the second studio album by American metalcore band Miss May I,released on August 17,2010. [2] This album debuted at No. 76 on the Billboard 200 chart.
On June 24,Miss May I announced via Facebook that the new album "Monument" will be released August 17 and that they are recording a video at Mansfield Prison for the song "Relentless Chaos." [3] [4] [5] On July 14,guitarist Justin Aufdenkampe posted a picture on his Twitter account of the album's track list and song lengths. On August 5,it was announced that the song "Rust" would only be available through preorder on iTunes via the band's Facebook. On September 3,the video for "Relentless Chaos" was released via YouTube.
On May 21,2011,it was announced that Monument would be released in a Deluxe Edition on June 21,2011,featuring three new songs,the "Rust" b-side,and a DVD featuring music videos,interviews,live songs,and more.

Metal Hammer reviewed the album in the February 2011 issue. It received a low score of 5/10 and was criticised for sounding unoriginal and too much like the band As I Lay Dying. Writer Adam Rees wrote "Miss May I struggle to deliver anything new...their best moments sound suspiciously like recent As I Lay Dying output on an off day...."
In contrast "Monument" was well received by Rock Sound who awarded it 8/10 "Since metalcore started merchandising a band’s image and paint-splattered jock-straps,before a fairly blueprinted sound structure,it’s been a difficult path to tread to find which bands are worth sticking around to listen to,but with their second outing ‘Monument’,Miss May I have firmly marked their place for Killswitch Engage’s support slots. The thunderous attacks of ‘Relentless Chaos’and ‘Creations’show the band’s steps towards thrash tendencies to a well worked effect. With exhilarating time signatures and ruthless musicianship,Miss May I have shown what it was that made metalcore exciting in the first place,and why we can love it once again."

The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2005. At one time known as a Christian metalcore band, it consists of members Mike Hranica, Jeremy DePoyster, Kyle Sipress, Mason Nagy (bass), Jonathan Gering, and Giuseppe Capolupo (drums). The band had maintained its original line-up until keyboardist James Baney left the band. The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. The band's current line-up consists of Ahren Stringer, Joel Birch, Dan Brown (guitar) and Joe Longobardi (drums). The Amity Affliction has released eight studio albums including Severed Ties (2008), Youngbloods (2010), Chasing Ghosts (2012), Let the Ocean Take Me (2014), This Could Be Heartbreak (2016), Misery (2018) and Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them (2020). They are known for their highly personal songs, often dealing with depression, anxiety, death, substance abuse, and suicide, many lyrics stemming from vocalist Joel Birch's past struggles. To Plant a Seed is the debut studio album by American metalcore band We Came as Romans. It was released by Equal Vision Records on November 3, 2009 and was produced by Joey Sturgis. Artwork for the album was done by Paul Romano to which coincides to We Came as Romans' positive message as explained by guitarist Joshua Moore that the lyrical themes on To Plant a Seed are based-up spreading this message. A deluxe edition of the album was released on January 18, 2011 which includes one bonus track and a DVD entitled To Plant a DVD.
Of Mice & Men is an American rock band formed in Costa Mesa, California, in 2009. The band's line-up currently consists of drummer Valentino Arteaga, guitarists Phil Manansala and Alan Ashby, and bassist and lead vocalist Aaron Pauley. The group was founded by former lead vocalist Austin Carlile and former bassist Jaxin Hall in mid-2009 after Carlile's departure from Attack Attack!. Carlile departed from the band in December 2016 citing that a long-term health condition prompted his exit. After Carlile's departure, the band continued to pursue creating music with Pauley as the band's bassist and lead vocalist.

Speaker of the Dead is the fourth studio album by metalcore/nu metal band Emmure released on February 15, 2011. The record was produced by Joey Sturgis, who also produced the following full-length. Speaker of the Dead is Emmure's fourth studio release under Victory Records, completing Victory's four-album deal at the time. The Color Morale is an American metalcore band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 2007. The band includes vocalist/keyboardist Garret Rapp, guitarists Devin King and Aaron Saunders, bassist Mike Honson, and drummer Steve Carey. Rapp and Carey are the only two members of the original line-up that remain in the band. The group was signed to Fearless Records before they went into a hiatus in 2018.
