Moody Lake is a natural freshwater lake in Pasco County, Florida. It was once one body of water, but it now is in two parts having been split when Interstate 75 was built through its center. Ten islets are contained within this lake. Its shores are very wooded and a few residences dot its shores. There are no public boat ramps or no public swimming areas on the shore. None of the fishing websites have information about types of fish in this lake.

Bonnet Lake or Lake Bonnet is a 268-acre (1,080,000 m2) natural freshwater lake in Highlands County, Florida. It is bounded on the north by Lake Bonnet Village, on its west by Bonnet Lake Campgrounds, on its southwest by a railroad line and on its south and southeast by Highlands Ridge. On part of its north shore is a citrus grove. To the lake's northeast is a large wooded area. Lake Bonnet Village and Bonnet Lake Campgrounds are mobile home and recreational vehicle parks for residents aged 55 and greater. Highlands Village is a retirement housing development.

Lake Henry is a natural freshwater lake in Highlands County, Florida. Lake Henry has a surface area of 64-acre (260,000 m2). It is just to the north of Lake June in Winter, a much larger lake. On its northeast is Lake Henry Drive. The Tomoka Heights retirement subdivision is to its southeast and to its southwest is Lake June Road, which travels along the north shore of Lake June in Winter. More residential housing is to the south and west.

Lake Bess is a natural freshwater lake southeast of Winter Haven, Florida. It is pear shaped and has a 147-acre (590,000 m2) surface area. Two blocks from its northeast shore is a WalMart supercenter and just north of that is Cypress Gardens Boulevard. On its north-northwest side is a gated residential community. To its west is Lake Ruby. The two lakes are separated by a 40 feet (12 m) strip of land. On its south-southwest shore are residential developments. On its southeast is pastureland. On its east-northeast shore are two country clubs and mobile homes.

Lake Moody is a natural freshwater lake with a 409-acre (1,660,000 m2) surface area. Shaped somewhat like a flint arrowhead, Lake Moody is in an area of sparse residential development. A scattering of residences, as well as citrus groves, are on the south side of the lake along South Lake Moody Road. On the west side the lake is bordered by the Scenic Route of Highway 17. A few residences line the west side of the highway and the shore on west side is all private property. Most of the area along the highway is bordered by citrus groves. North Lake Moody Road borders the northwest part of the lake. The shore borders much of the road right-of-way on this road. Lake Moody is bordered on the northeast by citrus groves and some swampy areas of ground. A railroad line, more swamp and citrus groves line the east shore.

Lake Eloise is a large natural freshwater lake on the south side of Winter Haven, Florida. It is part of the southern Chain of Lakes. With a 1,174-acre (4,750,000 m2) surface area, it is one of the larger lakes in Polk County, Florida. Lake Eloise has a somewhat oval shape and has a large cove on its south side. It borders Lake Summit on its northeast and it almost borders Lake Lulu on its northwest. Lake Eloise is mostly surrounded by residential areas. However, the northern half of its eastern shore is occupied by Legoland Florida, which was once Cypress Gardens, a large area theme park. Some citrus groves border the lake on its west side. Eloise Loop Road passes by the south end of the cove on the lake's south side.

Lake Summit is a natural freshwater lake in Winter Haven, Florida. It has a 65.97-acre (267,000 m2) surface area and is somewhat oval in shape. It has two small coves on its north side. This lake is surrounded by residences around most of its perimeter. It has a public park, Lake Summit Park, on part of its west side, and Legoland Florida's water park is on its southeast shore. A boat canal on the south side of Lake Summit leads to Lake Eloise.

Lake Maude is an oval-shaped lake on the north side of Winter Haven, Florida. It has a surface area of 54.83-acre (221,900 m2). On its north and west sides, Lake Maude is bordered by residential areas. On its entire east side is Lake Maude Nature Park and on the south Lake Maude is bordered by Avenue O Northeast.

Lake Fannie, is a natural freshwater lake on the northeast side of Winter Haven, Florida. This lake has an 802-acre (3,250,000 m2) surface area. Much of its shoreline area is swamplike, but the rest of the lake is free of surface vegetation. Lake Idyl is bordered on the north by Polk County Road 544, on part of the east side by a residential area and on most of the rest of its shoreline by woods.

The Pasco County Library Cooperative (PCLC) is the public library system that serves all residents of Pasco County, Florida, and is a member of the Tampa Bay Library Consortium. The Pasco County Library System, as it was originally known, was established by county ordinance in 1980.

Lake Pansy, an almost round lake, has a surface area of 50.42-acre (204,000 m2). This lake is on the north edge of Winter Haven, Florida. The city limits just reach water's edge on the east and southeast and the south city limits of Lake Alfred, Florida, are just across US Highway 92, which is 100 feet (30 m) northeast of Lake Pansy. The lake's north and west shores are bordered by woods. The east and northwest shores are bordered by residences and the southeast shore borders a citrus grove. Lake Pansy and the Winter Haven Municipal Airport are separated on the west side of the lake by 21st Street Northwest.

Lake June in Winter, on the west side of Lake Placid, Florida, has a surface area of 3,726.11-acre (15,079,000 m2). This lake is also written "Lake June-in-Winter" and was once known as Lake Stearns. The lake is kidney-shaped, with coves on the northeast and northwest. Lake June is bordered on the south, some of the east and much of the north by residences and residential areas. The entire western shore is bordered by Lake June in Winter Scrub State Park. Other areas are bordered by vacant areas of scrub and grassland. Two nearby lakes, Lake Henry (Florida) and Lake Lachard are near the lake's shores.

Lake Placid, a gourd-shaped lake, has a surface area of 3,406.03 acres (13,783,700 m2). This lake is south of the city of Lake Placid, Florida; it is just outside the south city limits of the city. This lake was once known as Lake Childs. The area immediately surrounding it is mostly rural, but there are housing developments abutting the lake on part of its west side. Placid View Drive runs along part of the west side and Old State Route 8 runs along part of the east side.

The Clermont chain of lakes is a chain of lakes centered on Clermont, Florida. The chain is orientated from southeast to northwest and fed primarily by streams and groundwater flow. They make up the middle part of the Palatlakaha River watershed which forms the headwaters of the Ocklawaha River. The lakes are notable for their red to tea-colored water from tannic acid.

Fischer Lake, just southeast of Florida State Road 429, is a natural freshwater lake west of Orlando, Florida, in Orange County, Florida. This lake is partially surrounded by residential housing and Camp Ithiel is on its southwest shore. Most of its shores are swampy. It is listed in the Orange County Wateratlas as a private lake and there is no public access along its shores.
