Audrey Winifred Morakane Ketlhoilwe Mosupyoe,known as Morakane Mosupyoe,is a South African politician serving as the Gauteng Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sports,Arts,Culture and Recreation since October 2022. She was the MEC for Economic Development,Agriculture and Environment from October 2019 to December 2020 as well as well as the Gauteng MEC for Social Development from December 2020 until October 2022. Prior to her election to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in 2019,she served as a Tshwane city councillor. Mosupyoe is a member of the African National Congress.
Mosupyoe joined the African National Congress in 2002 after having been approached by party members. [1] She was elected to the Tshwane city council in 2006. During her first term,she served as the member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for human settlements until October 2009 when she was appointed the MMC for health and social development. [2] She also served on the ANC's regional executive committee and the regional working committee. She is currently a member of the ANC's provincial executive committee and provincial working committee. [3]
After her re-election in May 2011,she was elected as the first female speaker of the council. [4] She held this position until the 2016 election,when she left the council. [3] Mosupyoe was elected to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in May 2019. [5] She was then appointed chairperson of the social development portfolio committee in the legislature. [3]
In July 2019,the National Executive Committee of the ANC resolved that Gauteng premier David Makhura had to sack one of his male MECs in order for his executive council to comply with their ruling after the election that in a province with a male premier,60% of the executive council members had to be female. [6] On 11 October 2019,Makhura announced that the MEC for Economic Development,Agriculture and Environment,Kgosientso Ramokgopa,had resigned from the provincial government. Consequently,he appointed Mosupyoe to Ramokgopa's post. She was sworn in later that same day. [7]
In an executive council reshuffle in December 2020,she was appointed as MEC for Social Development by Makhura. [8]
On 27 June 2022,Mosupyoe was elected as the provincial treasurer of the ANC in Gauteng. [9] She was appointed as MEC for Sports,Arts,Culture and Recreation by the newly elected premier,Panyaza Lesufi. [10]
Mosupyoe grew up in Atteridgeville with her five siblings.

Manemolla David Makhura is a South African politician. He served as the 6th Premier of Gauteng following his election in 2014 until his resignation in October 2022. Makhura is also the trustee of the board of the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation.

A member of the African National Congress,she is currently serving as Minister of Environment,Forestry and Fisheries,and as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. She previously served as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature,having been elected in 1994. In 2004,she was named Gauteng MEC for Sports,Recreation,Arts and Culture. She served until 2009 when she was appointed MEC for Education. Newly elected premier David Makhura moved Creecy to the Gauteng Finance portfolio in 2014.
Andrek Lesufi known professionally as Panyaza Lesufi,is a South African politician who is the 7th premier of Gauteng. He served as the Gauteng MEC for Education from May 2014 until October 2022,despite a brief interruption in May 2019. He was appointed the Gauteng MEC for Finance and e-Government in May 2019,but returned to the post of Education MEC a day later. Lesufi is also a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature for the African National Congress (ANC) and the Chairperson of the party in the province,as well as a member of the South African Communist Party.
Thuliswa Winlove Nkabinde-Khawe was a South African politician and a party member of the African National Congress (ANC). She was elected a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in May 2009 and was a long-serving member of the Social Development committee in the legislature,prior to her appointment as Gauteng MEC for Social Development in May 2019. She was an MEC until her death just over five months later.
Bandile Edgar Wallace Masuku is a South African medical doctor and politician serving as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since May 2019. He was the Gauteng MEC for Health from May 2019 to October 2020. Masuku is a party member of the African National Congress (ANC).
Tasneem Motara is a South African politician who has been the Gauteng MEC for Finance since 2022 and a member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since 2019. She was the MEC for Infrastructure Development and Property Management between May 2019 and October 2022. From May 2014 to May 2019,she represented Gauteng in the National Council of Provinces. She served as the chief whip of the provincial delegation. Motara is a member of the African National Congress.
Lebogang Isaac Maile is a South African politician serving as the Gauteng MEC for Human Settlements and Infrastructure Development since October 2022. He has been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature since May 2009.
Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko is a South African politician and a member of the African National Congress. She has served as the Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness since October 2022. She was the MEC for Finance and e-Government from May 2019 until October 2022. Nkomo-Ralehoko was elected to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in June 1999.

Phalama Jacob Mamabolo is a South African politician of the African National Congress. He was elected to the Gauteng Provincial Legislature in the 2014 election,and was appointed Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Human Settlement and COGTA. He served in this position until his appointment as the MEC for Infrastructure Development in February 2016. Mamabolo became the MEC for Roads and Transport in 2019. In October 2022,Mamabolo was promoted to MEC for Finance.

She has been a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from 1996 to 2004 and currently from 2009. Mazibuko is a member of the African National Congress.

Previously,he served as the Executive Mayor of the Randfontein Local Municipality from 2015 to 2016 and as the Executive Mayor of the Rand West City Local Municipality from 2016 to 2019.
Motlalepula Ziphora Rosho is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress,she was elected deputy speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature in 2010. In 2012 she was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Economic Development,Environment,Conservation and Tourism in the North West Provincial Government. Rosho was discharged from the executive council in 2014 and then served in the provincial legislature as a committee chairperson until December 2018,when she returned to the executive as MEC for Local Government and Human Settlement. Rosho was appointed as MEC for Finance after the 2019 elections.
