Morgan Schild (born August 25, 1997) is an American freestyle mogul skier. She competed for the United States Olympic team at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Schild was born August 25, 1997, in Rochester, New York, to Robert, known as "Buzz," and Lorraine, a nurse practitioner. [2] [3] She was raised in Pittsford, New York. [1] Schild was athletic as a child. [4] She began skiing at age five. [5] Alongside freestyle skiing, she also skied cross-country, and played soccer and softball. Schild was inspired to ski competitively after watching Hannah Kearney win a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics. [4] At age 15, Schild began dividing her time and training between Bristol Mountain, New York and Vail, Colorado. [3] Schild has attended Pittsford Sutherland and Westminster College. [1] [5] [3]
Schild is a freestyle mogul skier. [6] [2] In 2014, Schild was the overall NorAm Tour Winner and won silver medal at the Junior World Championships. The following year, she was named Rookie of the Year for the FIS World Cup. [1] At the 2015 Junior World Championships, Schild tore her ACL and injured her shoulder. The injuries prevented her from competing for two years. [6]
Schild made her comeback to competition in January 2017, placing third in moguls at her first competition back. [4] That March Schild won the United States national championship in moguls. [4] [6] In January 2018, Schild placed third in two events at the FIS Visa International World Cup, securing her spot on the United States Olympic team for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. [7] [8] At the Olympics, Schild was in third place after the first round of qualifications, allowing her to automatically advance to the first round of finals. Schild is coached by John Kroetz. [8] Her nickname in competitions is “Warpaint” for her concentration in competition. [4] [5]
Patrick Deneen is an American freestyle skier, specializing in moguls. Deneen was the gold medalist at the 2009 International Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle World Ski Championships. In December 2009, Deneen won the US Olympic trials, held at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, securing a spot on the US Olympic Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In FIS World Cup events, he has reached the podium at 4 events in 25 starts, and was the 2008 Freestyle Rookie of the Year.
Heather McPhie is an American freestyle moguls skier. She competed for the US Olympic Team at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. McPhie earned the Olympic team spot with a 2nd-place finish at the FIS World Cup event at Deer Valley in January 2010. At the 2007 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships McPhie finished in 8th place in moguls, and 9th in duals.
Fanny Smith is a Swiss freestyle skier. She represented Switzerland at the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics. As of January 2023, she has 29 victories and 67 podiums on the World Cup circuit. She won gold at the World Championships in Voss in 2013. Smith won a bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Maryna Mykolayivna Antsybor is a Ukrainian cross country skier who has competed internationally since 2005. She represented Ukraine at the 2010, 2014, and 2018 Winter Olympics. She won a gold and a bronze medal at the 2013 Winter Universiade as well as a silver medal at the 2011 Winter Universiade.. She competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics, in Women's 10 kilometre classical, Women's 30 kilometre freestyle, Women's 15 kilometre skiathlon, Women's sprint, and Women's 4 × 5 kilometre relay.
Justine Dufour-Lapointe is a Canadian freestyle skier. She was the Olympic champion in the moguls event at the 2014 Winter Olympics and won a silver medal in moguls at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The gold and silver she and her sister Chloe Dufour-Lapointe won in 2014 was the first time that Canadian sisters stood together on the podium, and the fourth time ever by all nations. In winning the Olympics, she became the youngest freestyle skiing Olympic champion ever at nineteen years of age. Dufour-Lapointe was the FIS World Cup rookie of the year for the 2010–11 season. Dufour-Lapointe was the world champion in moguls at the 2015 World Championships has also won a silver and two other bronze medals in the moguls event at the Freestyle World Ski Championships.
Jessica Diggins is an American cross-country skier. She and teammate Kikkan Randall won the United States' first-ever cross-country skiing gold medal at the Winter Olympics in the team sprint in 2018. At the 2022 Winter Olympics, Diggins won the silver medal in the 30 kilometer freestyle and the bronze medal in the individual sprint, making her the most decorated American cross-country skier of all time. She also won four medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships from 2013 to 2017 and would later become the first American to win a gold medal at the event for an individual contest in 2023. In 2021, Diggins clinched the top spot in the women's overall standings for the 2020–21 FIS Cross-Country World Cup, becoming the first American to do so.
Yulia Evgenievna Galysheva is a Kazakhstani mogul skier who won three medals at FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships, bronze medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games and two gold medals at the Asian Winter Games in 2011.
Charlotte Bankes is a British-born snowboarder who represented France in international competition before the start of the 2018–2019 season and Great Britain from that point onwards. She competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics, in Women's snowboard cross.
Kiley McKinnon is an American freestyle skier. She came in first place in the aerials competition during the 2015 FIS World Cup Champion and also won a silver medal in aerials at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2015 in Kreischberg, Austria. In 2018, McKinnon represented Team USA in the PyeongChang Olympics and placed 10th in aerials. McKinnon is a co-founder of Halfdays, a direct-to-consumer brand for women's ski wear made of recycled fabrics that launched in November 2020.
Cassie Sharpe is a Canadian freestyle skier. Sharpe became the Olympic champion in women's halfpipe after winning gold in Pyeongchang, South Korea at the 2018 Winter Olympics. She won a silver medal at the 2015 World Championships in halfpipe in Kreischberg and won gold and bronze in superpipe at the Winter X Games in 2016 and 2018, respectively.

Jonathon Lillis is an American freestyle skier who competes internationally. He competed for team USA at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain, where he won a gold medal in men's aerials. He competed at the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 8th in Aerials.
Tess Johnson is an American freestyle moguls skier. In 2014, she became the youngest moguls skier ever named to the United States national team. She has been named to the United States Olympic Team for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
Jilly Wallace is a British former freestyle skier, who won 29 FIS World Cup medals, which was the most for any British skier or snowboarder until 2020. She competed at the 1992 and 1994 Winter Olympics. She was World Champion in Laser-Run in 2019 and 2022 at the UIPM World Championships.

Elizabeth Marian Swaney OLY is an American born-and-raised freestyle skier who competed for Hungary in the 2018 Winter Olympics in the women's halfpipe based on her Hungarian ancestry. She was unable to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics for Venezuela in both skeleton and freestyle skiing, and qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics in the women's halfpipe, in which she placed last.
Naoya Tabara is a Japanese male artistic gymnast and freestyle skier. He has formerly competed as a gymnast and has participated at the gymnastic competitions until 2005 before switching on to take the sport of freestyle skiing in 2006. Naoya Tabara sustained a shoulder injury in 2005 when he was professional artistic gymnast which caused him to choose aerials freestyle skiing. He participated at the 2018 Winter Olympics and competed in the freestyle skiing men's aerials event.
Maxim Alekseyevich Burov is a Russian freestyle skier. A three-time World Champion, he won back-to-back titles in individual aerials, in 2019 and 2021, becoming the first Russian and the fourth male aerial skier to do that. He participated at two Winter Olympics and competed in the men's aerials by representing Olympic Athletes from Russia in 2018 and Russian Olympic Committee in 2022.
Robin Wallace is a British former freestyle skier and coach of the Great Britain freestyle skiing team. He finished in the top 10 in over 20 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup events, and competed in a demonstration event at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
