FIS Freestyle Junior World Ski Championships are the Junior World Championships in freestyle skiing organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). [1] With the exception of Ski Cross, participation in Junior World Ski Championships is limited to competitors whose age is between fourteen and nineteen in the calendar year of the Championship. Ski Cross is limited to competitors between the ages of sixteen and twenty. [2]

The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships is the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. It was first organized in 1986 and is now held every odd year. Currently, the disciplines included in the World Championships are Aerials, Moguls, Dual Moguls, Ski cross, Half-pipe, Slopestyle and Big air. Formerly, Acroski and a combined event were held.
Jonathan Cheever is an American snowboarder. He is an athlete on the U.S. Snowboarding's SBX A Team. In 2011, he was named the U.S. snowboarding champion and took two World Cup 2nd-place finishes at Stoneham Mountain Resort in Quebec and Chiesa in Valmalenco in Italy. Becoming the second American male ever in his discipline to win the world cup. In 2011, he was ranked third in the world in snowboard cross (SBX). Still no U.S. man has won a FIS World Cup title in SBX.
The 2013/14 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup was the thirty fifth World Cup season in freestyle skiing organised by International Ski Federation. The season started on 17 August 2013 and ended on 23 March 2014. This season included five disciplines: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe and slopestyle.
The 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships were held in Kreischberg, Austria from January 15–25, 2015. In 2014, the FIS decided to merge the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships with the FIS Snowboarding World Championships starting with these championships. The Austrian municipality of Kreischberg was awarded the event in 2010.

The 2021 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships were held in Idre, Rogla, Almaty and Aspen with the ski and snowboard cross events held in Idre from 11 to 13 February 2021, the parallel and giant slalom snowboard in Rogla from 1 to 2 March 2021, moguls and aerials held in Almaty from 8 to 11 March 2021, slopestyle, halfpipe and big air events of both Snowboard and Freeski in Aspen from 10 to 16 March 2021. Calgary was selected as a replacement of China to host the halfpipe, big air and slopestyle events, but on 20 January 2021, they pulled out.
Cole McDonald is an American freestyle skier. He joined the US Ski & Snowboard's U.S. Freestyle Ski Team in July 2021. In the same season as his first World Cup, he earned a spot on the U.S. Men's Moguls Team at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, making him the youngest American male mogul skier to participate in the Olympics at 18 years of age. McDonald was named World Cup Rookie of the Year in 2022.

Freestyle skiing at the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics took place from 23 to 31 January 2024, with the dual moguls event held at the High1 Resort, Jeongseon, South Korea and the remaining events at Welli Hilli Park, Hoengseong, South Korea.
