Kirsty Muir (born 5 May 2004) is a Scottish freestyle skier representing Great Britain who competed in the big air and slopestyle events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She came second in the big air event at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics, and third in the big air and slopestyle events at the 2023 X Games.
Muir started skiing at Aberdeen Snowsports Centre at the age of three. [1] She began with alpine skiing, before switching to freestyle skiing. [2] At the 2018 British Championships, she won the big air, halfpipe and slopestyle events. [3] In 2019, she won the first Europa Cup Slopestyle event in which she competed, [3] [4] and won a medal in another Europa Cup event that season. [5] She came second in the 2019 British Championships big air event. [5] At the 2019 FIS Junior World Freestyle Skiing Championships, Muir came second and third in two of the events. [3]
At the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics, Muir came second in the big air event, [6] and fourth in the slopestyle event. [7] She was Team GB's flagbearer at the closing ceremony of the Games. [8] Muir competed in the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2021, where she placed sixth in women's ski slopestyle. [9] She came second in the slopestyle event at the 2020–21 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup competition in Aspen, Colorado, US. [6] [10] It was her fourth senior event. [2]
Muir competed in the big air and slopestyle events at the 2022 Winter Olympics. [6] She was the youngest Briton at the Games. [11] She finished seventh in the qualification round of the big air event, [10] [12] and fifth overall in the final. [13] After the first run in the final, Muir had been in third position, [14] and she was the youngest finalist in the event. [15] Muir came sixth in the slopestyle qualifying round, [16] and eighth in the final, one place ahead of fellow Briton Katie Summerhayes. [17] Muir was shortlisted for the 2022 Downdays Skier of the Year [18]
At the 2023 Winter X Games, Muir came third in the big air [19] and slopestyle events. [20] Muir came second in the big air event in the Beijing leg of the 2023–24 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup and third in the same event at Copper Mountain. [21] She finished third at the Freeski Big Air World Cup event at Copper Mountain. In December 2023, Muir sustained a season ending injury. [22]
In 2022, Muir was awarded the Scottish Youth Award for Excellence in Mountain Culture. [6] [1]

Andri Ragettli is a Swiss freestyle skier. He has won ten world cup titles and five crystal globes, including slopestyle in 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022, as well as big air in 2019. He represented Switzerland in slopestyle at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, where he qualified for the final, along with two fellow Swiss skiers, and finished 7th. Andri won his first X-Games gold medal at X-Games Norway 2020, which was his childhood dream. Since then he has added two more X-Games gold medals: one in big air (2021) and one in Slopestyle (2022). At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing he qualified in first place for slopestyle finals but ended up 4th in the end.
Finn Bilous is a New Zealand freestyle skier who competes internationally. He represented New Zealand in slopestyle at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. He finished 13th, just one spot short of making the finals. He participated at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2018, winning a medal at the Big Air competition.
Mathilde Gremaud is an Olympic Swiss freestyle skier and eight time X Games medalist. On February 28, 2023, she became the first freestyle skier to hold both slopestyle World and Olympic Champion titles after winning gold in both events.

Great Britain competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022. The Great Britain team consists of 50 athletes. Eve Muirhead and Dave Ryding were the country's flagbearers during the opening ceremony. Meanwhile curler Bruce Mouat was the flagbearer during the closing ceremony.

Freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou and Big Air Shougang in Beijing, China. The events were held between 3 and 19 February 2022. A total of 13 freestyle skiing events were held.
The women's big air competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 7 February (qualification) and 8 February (final), at the Big Air Shougang in Beijing. This will be the inaugural freestyle skiing women's big air competition at the Olympics. Eileen Gu, representing China, became the champion, Tess Ledeux of France won the silver medal, and Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland the bronze medal. For Gu and Ledeux, this was their first Olympic medal.
The women's slopestyle competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 14 February (qualification) and 15 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Originally scheduled for 13 February (qualification) and 14 February (final), the events were delayed due to weather. Mathilde Gremaud of Switzerland won the event, improving on her 2018 silver medal. Eileen Gu of China won the silver medal, and Kelly Sildaru of Estonia bronze. For Sildaru, it was the first Olympic medal. This was also the first Winter Olympics medal for Estonia since 2010.
