The Moroccan International Championships [1] or Championnats Internationaux Marocains was a men's and women's international clay court tennis tournament founded in 1925 as the Moroccan Championships or Championnats du Maroc. The tournament first held in Casablanca, Morocco. It was held annually until 1974 when it was discontinued as part of the worldwide ILTF Circuit.

History

In 1924 the Moroccan Championships were first held in Casablanca, Morocco. The tournament continued to staged annually through to the second world war then was suspended. In 1950 the tournament resumed under a new brand name the Moroccan International Championships. The tournament was mainly held in Casablanca, but was also staged in Rabat in 1933, 1937, 1939 and 1950. The championships ran annually through till 1974 when they were discontinued as part of the worldwide ILTF Circuit.

The Belgian Open or Brussels International was a tennis tournament founded in 1899 as a combined men's and women's clay court tennis tournament.

The Phoenix Thunderbird Open was a combined men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1952 as Phoenix Thunderbird Championships Invitational. Also known as the Phoenix Thunderbird Invitational it continued as a joint event until 1970 when the men's event was discontinued. The 1969 ILTF Men's Tennis Circuit includes International Lawn Tennis Federation tournaments that were not affiliated to the NTL Tour or the WCT Circuit. The circuit began on 31 December 1968 in Madras, India and finished on 29 December in New Orleans, United States. It was the 93rd season since the first men's tennis tournaments were staged and 56th season since ILTF was formed.

The Suffolk Championships was an open international tennis tournament for both men and women held at Saxmundham, Suffolk, England founded in 1883 as the Saxmundham Lawn Tennis Tournament. In 1893 it was elevated to a county-level event and renamed as the Suffolk County Championships. The championships ran until 1968 when it ceased to be part of ILTC worldwide tennis circuit.

The North of England Championships and later known as the Rothmans Open North of England Championships, was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1884 as the North Yorkshire Tournament. It was mainly held at Scarborough, North Yorkshire, Great Britain from. The tournament was discontinued in 1974 when it was staged at Hoylake.

The North of England Hard Court Championships and later known as the Wilson North of England Hard Court Tennis Championships for sponsorship reasons was a combined men's and women's clay court tennis tournament established in 1913 and ran until 1988.

The Bombay Presidency Hard Court Championships or Bombay Hard Court Championships, also called the Bombay Presidency Hard Courts, was an international combined men's and women's tennis clay court tournament founded in 1924. The championships were played at the Hindu Gymkhana, Bombay, India. The championships ran until 1950 before being discontinued.

The Aix-Les-Bains International or Tournoi International d'Aix-Les-Bains was a men's and women's international clay court tennis tournament founded in 1914. The tournament was first held at the Société du Club des Sports, Aix-les-Bains, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. It was held annually until 1959 when it was discontinued as part of the world wide ILTF Circuit.

The Hoylake Open Championships also known as the Rothman's Hoylake Open Championships was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1930 as the Hoylake and West Kirby Open. The event was staged annually at Ashton Park, West Kirby, Cheshire, England until 1974.

John W. Peter Cawthorn was an Australian amateur tennis player who later turned professional in 1953. As an amateur he competed at the 1950 Australian Championships and the 1951 Wimbledon Championships. As a professional he was a two time quarter finalist at the Wembley Professional Championships in 1957 and 1958, and a quarter finalist at the French Professional Championship in 1956. He was active from 1949 to 1968 and won 21 career amateur and pro singles titles. He later became a tennis coach.

The Shropshire Championships or Shropshire Open Championship or Shropshire County Championships was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament first established in 1903 as the Championship of Shropshire. It was first held at the Severnside Lawn Tennis Club Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. The tournament was staged annually until 1959.

The Highland Championships was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament first established in 1896 as part of the Atholl Hydropathic Open Lawn Tennis Tournament. Also known as the Bell's Highland Championships for sponsorship reasons (1974–1981).

The Framlingham Open was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1883 and held at the Framlingham College, Framlingham, Suffolk, England until 1983. The event is still played today, but is no longer part of the senior worldwide tour.

The Alverstoke Open was an annual combined tennis tournament founded in 1909 as the Gosport Tournament at Alverstoke, Hampshire, England. The tournament was mainly played on grass courts except for the 1921 to 1923 editions which were played on clay courts. The tournament was part of the ILTF Circuit and ended in 1981.

The Dieppe International Championship also known Championnat international de Dieppe also known as the Dieppe International Tennis Championship Cup was a men's and women's clay court tennis tournament founded in 1888 as the Dieppe LTC Tournament . The tournament was held at the Club de tennis de Dieppe, Dieppe, France and ran annually through 1966 when it was dropped from that schedule of the ILTF Circuit.

The Asian Championships also known as the Asian International Championships or Asian Lawn Tennis Championships was an open international men's and women's grass and clay court tennis tournament founded in 1949 as the International Championships of Asia. The tournament was one of eight official championships of the International Lawn Tennis Federation. It was first played at the Calcutta South Club, Calcutta, India. The international tournament was played at other locations until September 1972 when it was discontinued as part of the ILTF Independent Tour.

The New South Wales Hard Court Championships was a men's and women's open tennis tournament founded in 1915, and first held at Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. It was first organised by the Dubbo District Tennis Association in conjunction with the New South Wales Lawn Tennis Association and was played on clay courts. It was staged as part of ILTF Australasia Circuit a sub circuit of the ILTF World Circuit until 1972, then became part of the ILTF Independent Tour until 1984 and finally part of the Tennis Australia Circuit till 1988 when it was discontinued as a senior event.

The Nice International Winter Championships or Championnats Internationaux d'Hiver de Nice was a men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1922 as the Nice Lawn Tennis Club Winter Cup also known as the Parc Imperial Winter Tournament or Nice Winter Tournament. It was organised by the Nice Lawn Tennis Club, Nice, France and played on clay courts until 1974 as part of the ILTF Independent Circuit.

The South-West Districts Championships was a combined men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1950. The tournament was played at the Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club, Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia, and ran annually until 1979 when it was discontinued as part of the ILTF Independent Circuit.

The Bielefeld Challenger or ATP Challenger Bielefeld was a men's clay court tennis tournament founded in 1907 as combined event called the Bielefeld Tennis Tournament.
