Morocco competed at the inaugural African Beach Games in Sal, Cape Verde from 14 to 23 June 2019. In total, athletes representing Morocco won nine gold medals, three silver medals and four bronze medals. [1] The country finished in 1st place in the medal table. [1]

The African Games, formally known as the All-Africa Games or the Pan African Games, are a continental multi-sport event held every four years, organized by the African Union (AU) with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) and the Association of African Sports Confederations (AASC).
The Arab States have tried to form unions of several non-political organizations. Sport has been one of the main activities used to unify Arabs. Several tournaments and games were created to let Arab participate in sports, in an effort to bring the members of the Arab world closer to each other.
The 12th African Games was held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. This was the first time that the African Games were hosted by Morocco following the country's readmission to the African Union in January 2017.

It was also the first time since the 1978 All-Africa Games that Morocco took part in the competition after being banned. This later dropped to 259 athletes. Athletes representing Kenya won 11 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 10 bronze medals and the country finished 7th in the medal table.
Egypt competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. In total 297 athletes were expected to represent Egypt at the games. This later increased to 330 athletes. Athletes representing the country won 102 gold medals, 98 silver medals and 73 bronze medals and the country finished 1st in the medal table.

In total, athletes representing the country won one silver medal and three bronze medals and the country finished in 31st place in the medal table, shared with Republic of the Congo.
Libya competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. In total, athletes representing Libya won two silver medals and two bronze medals and the country finished in 29th place in the medal table, shared with Mali.

The Gambia competed at the 2019 African Games held from 19 to 31 August 2019 in Rabat, Morocco. In total, athletes representing the country won two gold medals and one silver medal. The country finished in 19th place in the medal table.

Morocco competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place during the summer of 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's fifteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics.

Sanae Agalmam is a Moroccan karateka. She represented Morocco at the 2019 African Games and she won the gold medal in the women's individual kata event. She also won the gold medal in the women's team kata event.
Ofentse Bakwadi is a Botswana karateka. He represented Botswana at the 2019 African Games and he won one of the bronze medals in the men's individual kata event. He also won one of the bronze medals in the men's team kata event.
Mouad Ouites is an Algerian karateka. He represented Algeria at the 2019 African Games and he won one of the bronze medals in the men's team kata event.
Zouheir El Graoui is a Moroccan indoor and beach volleyball player. He is part of the Moroccan national team, a participant in the beach volleyball tournament at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. At the professional club level, he plays for PSG Stal Nysa.
