Morocco competed at the inaugural African Beach Games in Sal, Cape Verde from 14 to 23 June 2019. In total, athletes representing Morocco won nine gold medals, three silver medals and four bronze medals. [1] The country finished in 1st place in the medal table. [1]

Ofentse Bakwadi is a Botswana karateka. He represented Botswana at the 2019 African Games and he won one of the bronze medals in the men's individual kata event. He also won one of the bronze medals in the men's team kata event.

Mouad Ouites is an Algerian karateka. He represented Algeria at the 2019 African Games and he won one of the bronze medals in the men's team kata event.
