Premise

After a year abroad in London, Emma returns home and stuns her mother Lana with the news that she's getting married in a month at a resort in Phuket, Thailand. Things get worse when Lana discovers that the husband-to-be is the son of the man who broke her heart years earlier.

Production

In February 2023, Netflix announced a romantic comedy film written by Robin Bernheim and to be directed by Mark Waters was in pre-production. Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove, Benjamin Bratt, Chad Michael Murray, Rachael Harris, Sean Teale, Wilson Cruz, Michael McDonald, Tasneem Roc, and Dalip Sondhi was added to the cast. Spirit Rangers is an animated preschool television series created by Karissa Valencia, a member of the Santa Ynez Band of the Chumash Nation. Co-produced by Netflix Animation, Laughing Wild and Superprod Studio, the series was released on Netflix on October 10, 2022, before Indigenous Peoples' Day. On January 18, 2023, it was announced the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on May 8. On June 15 the same year, it was announced the series was renewed for a third season.
