MOTRIO is a brand of spare automotive parts [1] launched by Renault in 1998, [2] covering both Renault/Dacia vehicles and other brands. MOTRIO introduced a multi-brand network of repairers in 2003. [3]

Development

MOTRIO was created in 1998. The brand started in France and Italy, but later expanded to Germany, Spain, and Portugal by 2000. [2] As of 2018, MOTRIO is present in 24 countries with its own network consisting of 2,500 multi-brand workshops spread over 3 continents (Europe, Asia and Africa), and is present in 128 countries with multi-brand product distribution. [4]

In 2005, MOTRIO launched their website. Later that year, MOTRIO introduced Motelio, a management software for car dealers. Since January 2010, Renault was one of the first carmakers to introduce its own tires in France, Portugal, Germany, Turkey, Romania, Spain and Belgium. [5] [6] The new product line sold more than a million units in two years. [7]

Since 2005, MOTRIO has sponsored sports events, car crews and pilots. [8]

Awards

In 2021 and 2022, MOTRIO won Allogarage's "Meilleurs Garages de France" award, which recognises the best repair centres in France. On both occasions, the brand proved to be the car service network that most satisfied French customers. At Autopromotec 2022, Renault Italia and its network won the GIPA Trophy of Excellence in the "OES Network Satisfaction" category for generalist brands. [9]

The Renault Kwid is a crossover city car produced by the French car manufacturer Renault, initially intended for the Indian market and launched in 2015. In 2017, an improved Brazilian version was introduced for Latin American markets. Its battery electric version, named Renault City K-ZE, was launched in 2019, being manufactured in China and exported to Europe since 2021 as Dacia Spring Electric and to Latin America since 2022 as Renault Kwid E-Tech.

The Renault Arkana is a compact crossover SUV (C-segment) with a sloping rear roofline produced by the French manufacturer Renault. The car debuted in May 2019 in Russia as a car based on the older Dacia/Renault Duster B0 platform. Another separate version of the vehicle was introduced in South Korea in February 2020 as the Renault Samsung XM3, and is based on a more advanced CMF-B platform. The latter version of the Arkana was later introduced in core European market in September 2020.

The Renault 4Ever Trophy is a planned battery electric vehicle manufactured by Renault that will be sold starting in 2025. It is a crossover utility vehicle based on the same CMF-B EV platform as the Renault 5 EV and takes its name and inspiration from the Renault 4 hatchback that was produced from 1961 to 1994. The prototype was revealed as a concept during the 2022 Paris Motor Show on 17 October 2022.
